"Our forecast estimates total Xbox Game Pass subscriptions (excluding Core/Live Gold) to be at 33.3 million at the end of 2023, which represents subscriber growth of just 13% - down from 15% in 2022. Notably, over half (55%) are currently on the device-agnostic Ultimate tier."

Doesn't include GP Core, about $4B a year.

Palworld is fun! I reckon you won't be seeing anything like that gif for at least 10 hours.

Much more like Valhalla then anything else. The Pokemon are a very nice addition, works a lot like Arceus and it's a lot of fun seeing them potter about your base, and setting up the ideal workers for what you need.

Definitely feels a bit buggy right now. I was playing with Kriken and our inventories bugged after a few hours. Needed to restart the world a few times.

It's a shame you can't dial into a world on a server like Valhalla and the host has to be live for you to play. Not a big deal but it's nice pottering about collecting materials for everyone if noone else is about.

Soon as I was able to place a base in Palworld, I knew where I wanted it. Right by a small lake with a waterfall nearby. I'm definitely enjoying it. There is a huge world to be exploring, so I'll definitely be doing that soon.

Version 1.0 arrives on Steam and Xbox including Xbox Game Pass on January 25!

Adventure Mode Overhaul
The Adventure Mode has been completely overhauled giving explorers a choice of a series of temples to explore, each with a specific whip, relic, and series of challenges to overcome.

New Abyss Mode
The core Phantom Abyss experience, previously called Classic Mode, that challenges players to enter a temple and progress through all four areas within and collect the relic at the end. Only one person will ever complete each temple so time (and skill) are of the essence.

Whip Changes
Whips no longer carry curses and are unlocked by playing Adventure Mode while whips skins are rewarded through player op-in challenges.

The Xbox Game Pass app could see Xbox Cloud Gaming come to iOS devices following an antitrust investigation by the European Commission. iPhone and iPad maker Apple has now lifted its restrictions for streaming services on the App Store.

Since 2020, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on iOS have only been able to stream some of the best Game Pass games from the cloud via a browser, due to Apple insisting on reviewing each game in the library individually when offered in a native app. Microsoft was quick to offer a browser-based alternative, and while it has worked well enough, a native app would be much better. Now it looks like we could see support for Cloud Gaming come to iOS devices.

Apple has announced that it has rolled out changes to the iOS App Store, introducing new options for streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now. The new guidelines will require the services to "adhere to all App Store Review Guidelines and its host app will need to maintain an age rating of the highest age-rated content included in the app."

"Today, Apple is introducing new options for how apps globally can deliver in-app experiences to users, including streaming games and mini-programs," Apple says. "Developers can now submit a single app with the capability to stream all of the games offered in their catalog.

"Apps will also be able to provide enhanced discovery opportunities for streaming games, mini-apps, mini-games, chatbots, and plug-ins that are found within their apps
