Is Xbox Live / multiplayer free on PC? I seem to remember years ago this being announced as such for Windows 10.

EDIT - Oh, also, is literally every current and future Xbox Game Studios release actually included? That seems nuts.

You don't need Live Gold to play online on PC.

Spent last 2 and a half hours on Metro Exodus, I love it, it’s right up my street.

I was wondering where they’d modelled it on.

I did enjoy it though, I don't like how Artyom doesn't talk EVER but does in between areas on loading screen. Also, the first 'open' area I got to had a massive loading time, I actually thought the game had crashed must have taken 2minutes at least. It's gorgeous but yeah my god.

Oh god, and that loading time is on the X?!

I haven’t played it yet, but I loved the original two. I bought an XB1-S the other day, and SO nearly went for the Metro bundle. Would have been kicking myself now it’s on Game Pass.

Yeah that was on X, I'm hoping my X had a mini stroke or something.

Only tried the start on the X to see how it looks (lovely btw on the X) but I'd made a start on the Windows version after upgrading to game pass ultimate and no loading issues as of yet (installed on regular HDD not SSD) only problem I have is it not saving the damn graphics options when exiting the game which tons are having trouble with and is likely down to the porting it from Epics store to Windows.

Looks so much better at 1440p/Ultra/Ray Tracing on though and actually expected my save file to be compatible with the console version but it's not :x

How long do games typically last on Game Pass?

Usually a year but some games get pulled earlier. This often means they will make an appearance as a Game With Gold freebie a couple of months later though. Sometimes stuff gets randomly re-added too. It's all a bit random tbh

So where is the cheapest place to get 12 months of Xbox Live as I want to try the Ultimate offer?

Seriously considering getting Gamepass after my trial runs out. It really looks like a fantastic offer.

These titles appeared on the Game Pass App briefly but couldn't be played - Rare Replay, Dying Light, and Torment: Tides of Numenera.

Probably out next Thursday. Also a reminder the State of Decay 2 DLC is free with Game Pass.

Rare Replay is the one game that seems an obvious fit but is missing. I will be real happy if this appears in the near future.

Reactivated my Xbox Live and took advantage of the £1 Ultimate pass.

Looking forward to getting a few games downloaded that I've missed over the past couple of years.

Might actually play through the full Gears of War series for the first time!

The amount of choice you'll have as someone who hasn't been on xbox in a while will be pretty overwhelming :toot: .

When Gamepasss launched I pretty much stuck to playing the big hitters, triple A stuff but lately I’ve been sampling more of the indie games, the outer wilds left a great impression and Void Bastards is excellent.

With the 20+ games this month I’ll take my time with many of these games but I’ve gotten used to new, fresh game experiences every couple of weeks, I can’t believe how much it’s changed my gaming habits. I don’t buy many games at all these days.

I just watched the trailer for Flight Simulator again and I think it could have the best graphics of any next gen game if they do it right.

Flight sims can be some of the best looking games around and if they can use all the power of next gen it could be something really rather special and make some really amazing video's possible with little effort as flying through iconic cities is always nice. I can as well see if they keep it updated it being a good way to see how skylines change with the construction of new buildings.

London with all the skyscrapers going up now could be a good example.

It will be nice to fly through the finished construction at Battersea power station, the vast new Google landscraper HQ or the final form of the Olympic Park when that completes.
