Brilliant month, would buy Crackdown 3 and was going to pick up Tomb Raider if it was cheap this month in a PSN sale. So they've saved me a lot with game pass. Really surprised at Tomb Raider. Hope they add Blast Corps to the line up soon.

Wish my image sig would work

Rare Replay is an odd omission from the service. I think that, Killer Instinct and some of the Forza games are the only MS published titles not on there. KI has been (mostly) given away on GWG, so the others may make an appearance soon.

I’ve still got my free month to use, and I was planning on buying Shadow of the Tomb Raider at some point, so that’s just saved me a load a money.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, Pumped BMX Pro and (I assume) The Walking Dead Season One are available to download now. :-)

I enjoyed the last two Tomb Raider games so getting the new one for "free" is good news.

Pumped BMX Pro - “Achievements aren’t supported”. Though I’m guessing that’s because it wasn’t meant to be released until tomorrow.

Good stuff. Didn’t want to start it in case I unlocked anything and it got stuck in limbo.

I'm thinking of buying a One X today. It would almost be exclusively for gamepass useage. Does the Gamepass library make much use of the One X power, or am I just as well off with the S? For reference, the One X commands a 140 quid premium at the moment.
Thanks for any insight into this.

Off the top of my head, MasterChief Collection, Halo 5, Sea of Thieves, Rise/Shadow of the tombraider, Vermintide 2, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Hellblade, PUBG, Forza Horizon 4 and many others are X1X enhanced so yeah, there's a fair chunk.

EDIT: And Gears 2,3,4, Doom, PES2019, plus Fallout 3.

Do you own a 4KTV?

Any good deals at the moment? I might be upgrading soon. Last time I looked the X was £200 more than the S.

Thanks for the reply. I do indeed own a 4k TV. I have a PS4 pro bit not connected to my 4k set, so I guess I may buy the odd 3rd party game to reap that benefit also. I don't play multiplayer games though, so it's doubtful I will make use of some of the games you have mentioned. But a fair few of them are single player also, so I guess it would be the safer bet. Xbox One X is 380 in Smyth's. Cheapest I can see One S is about 220 everywhere. I think their price has crept back up after the black Friday deals rather than the One X actually being a particularly good deal.
Gamepass is about 60 quid for 12 months still on CD Keys.

Cheers. I always forget to check Smyths because there’s not one nearby. But that’s a good price and could easily justify driving a little out of my way.

I'm not sure how abundant they are, but they happen to have them in my town. It seems like a good price to me too.

I'd say an X1X is essential if you have a 4KTV if only for multiplats that generally hit native 4K or get very near it.

It probably depends on how good your TV is at scaling also. If you're not going to use the Xbox much and your TV is a good scaler, it might be worth saving nearly £200 for not much difference.

Erm....there is a huge difference on a 4KTV, and Id argue that even on a 1080p X1X again makes a big difference, I played on 1080p for year on X1X and the jump was huge, it's MASSIVE on 4K though.

Picked one up earlier. Seems great so far but the interface is proving challenging. Have added you as a friend. I'm Kiryu x Majima (!)
