I can’t see the name Descenders without thinking of testicles.

Have set my 1X to download Tacoma. Looking forward to giving it a go. The last few games i have tried to get into i have bounced off hard (Prey, Wolf 2). I guess that's the beauty of Game Pass though, its effectively risk free.

I'm slightly more disappointing at having to drop Vampyr, but the difficulty level was far too high for a story driven game. Would strongly recommend anybody who has not read up on the potential pitfalls of normal to difficulty mode to play it on easy. The spike (and frustrations therein) did not really hit me until about 10 hours in, at which point it was far too late to restart.

I always play games on easy! I have stopped Vampyr for being a bit too samey and other games are available. I usually go back to games like that when they are announced to be leaving.

Nice, i was loving the atmosphere etc of it, but got anxious everytime i had to leave one of the community hubs, as i know frustration awaited me.

I had a short go on Descenders. Just wondering where the game is.

An hour into Tacoma and I'm loving it. These really are my sort of games. I played Edith Finch about a month ago and it absolutely blew me away. This has started equally promisingly.

I felt the same way, but went back to it as a casual thing just before bed and it works like that. It is essentially Spelunky on bikes. You get further along each time and have to retry from the start. I am playing it for some of the achievements, but I am also enjoying it. Would not buy it outright, but perfect Game Pass fodder.

I will give it another go, but there seemed to be no challenge at all. Just roll down the hill to the finish line, then back to a map of 20-30 nodes to select the next. And no apparent way to exit that map. Do you just keep plugging away to fill all the nodes in one go? Or do you aim for the skull icon - in which case, what is the point in the rest of it?

It feels like you’re racing, but the other players are off doing their own thing and there are no time limits that I can see. It all feels very pointless.

Maybe it just needs to explain itself better. I thought it was out of early access now, so there’s no excuse.

Yeah, i thought Hellblade was fantastic. Just the right length as well. A couple of hours longer and i think it may have become a bit too repetitive.

I’ve only recently started subscribing to game pass as I had most of the games on it but it was the best value way to experience Crackdown 3.

A welcome side effect of this is my introduction to quests and Microsoft rewards more generally. So far i’ve bought two £5 Xbox gift cards with my accumulated points and the gamer in me has - probably prematurely - decided that I need not buy another game ever again .

It’s pretty awesome that you get points (admittedly a fairly modest amount) for playing games which you can convert into actual currency to buy more games!

I love the idea of quests although I finished this month’s all in one day so a few more would be nice while the achievement mining grinder in me is maximising the bing search / Edge use to get my points up.

Is anyone else doing this? Did anyone look at photos of pandas this morning to push you fractionally closer to a £5 Xbox gift card? :slol:

Any tips for bolstering my Rewards balance apart from what I mentioned?
