I knew it was there a week ago.

They haven't announced what's leaving next yet.
It used to be on app??

EDIT on top right of app hit notifications (bell) and the list is there, it's 20% off also not 10.

The list also pops up on your phone if have notications on.

OK, thanks. That’s not so bad. But the last Departing notification on mine was six days ago, and it listed the games that were leaving on 16th November, so that’s only five days’ notice if you rely on the notifications. (If I tap on the notification, it shows the list you posted.)

List I just posted is the end of this month so....I dunno ?

Have you actually had a notification for that though? (I’m not being argumentative! I think that notification would be perfect, but not if they’re sending it out late like on mine.)

I don't remember getting it tbh. As Monkey said it used to be front and center on both Phone and Xbox App up until last week. I do remember seeing leaving notifications in general tho, maybe they push these ones a week later? We'll see.

EDIT Xbox App is showing them btw.

The least notice they give is probably 2weeks, but, they are VERY transparent about it, it's flagged up on the App both on Console and Phone. 10% off if you want to buy to continue playing.

Except it doesn’t appear to be any more. Unless you can tell me where to find it.

They certainly don’t alert us that games we’ve installed are leaving soon (and they could, easily). The information might be there if you go looking, but that’s not the same thing. Thankfully Monkey Man does that job here (for which I thank him greatly).

On the PC app there's a "Leaving Soon" section on the front page as well:

If you expand the library on the left it also has a warning for any game you have installed that is due to leave.

My mate has just picked up a Series S. Its his first console in about 12 years (he's a filthy casual).

He bought it under the pretence of it being for his son, but he is already hounding me with a million questions on Games with Gold, SSD's etc. Looks like multiplayer gaming is back on the radar for me... i had pretty much written it off (friend with same console AND same game), but the magic of Game Pass really has removed that second barrier to entry.

He did say that he never would have justified buying a Series X, but the value proposition of a Series S AND GamePass was just oo good (he was going to get a switch). I think us hardcore gamers/ geeks (i use the term interchangeably) sometimes forget just how the "rest of the world" perceive game consoles and associated value.

I think the S will do huge numbers, as i reckon there are a huge amount of people in his situation. The one thing i think MS will still struggle with is the value proposition of Game Pass. I dont think the really gamer know about it still (i have no evidence other than me having to describe the system in excruciating detail to aforementioned friend).

'It's Netflix but for games' is a pretty easy sell to be honest.

But i'm not convinced people are getting that message. Also, to someone with the more logical mind, it suggests its a streaming service, which is inferior to what Game Pass actually is.

Which do you think is in the public concience more, Animal Crossing or Game Pass?

That's how I sold it to my partner. She knows I am getting a PS5 and I have a Switch. So when the Xbox showed up, I gave her the "Netflix for games" spiel as she basically leeches off my Netflix sub which I barely use. I said I wouldn't need to actually buy any games for this thing ever. Helps when the S is small - it doesn't feel like an extravagant purchase.

Neglected to tell her about the £120 I spent getting Gamepass though

Just finished Wandersong, and it was a pleasant surprise. I tried it when it first went on Game Pass, and it didn’t seem to have much going for it. A simplistic platformer with some basic music-themed gameplay. Went back to it a few days ago, to see if I wanted to run through it before it leaves GP at the end of the month, and I had really underestimated it. Still pretty simplistic, but it has some quite clever puzzle-platforming, and a proper little adventure, with a sardonic anti-hero sidekick. It’s short-ish, so there’s still time to play through it, if anyone fancies it.

For the whores: there’s a scene select that supposedly makes the achievements gettable in about an hour, but I got all but one of them in a regular playthrough.

:capnscotty: Given that I’m working on the PR campaign let me just point at the thread title and say that Cris Tales is, categorically, not out now! 2021 release now.

I bought this 24 hours ago in the sale. I guess it probably wont be the Series X enhanced ultimate edition, so no need to try and chase a refund juuust yet.
