I've been setting up races where it's me in a beast of a vehicle against a ton of lawnmowers, on tracks with crossovers, or the death loop track. The lawnmowers are generally all gone by the end of lap 2.

Realistic damage is for me. What’s the difference between intense and realistic? I find intense somehow harder but it is a much lower difficulty modifier (about 0.60 lower).

I can’t stop playing Wreckfest. Been up till gone 2am for the last 3 nights despite having work at 9am on 2 of the following days.

One thing I love among the many is the variety of tracks. I’ve been playing Single Player exclusively so far but a mix of the Career and the Tournaments Daily/Weekly challenges.

Makes a change to have such variety and a lot of the tracks are FUN! Those which encourage or force you to double back against the pack , especially when leading or challenging for the lead are :dread:

at times!

The 1x 3-wheeler vs 23x Buses was fun. But the revenge 1x Bus vs 23x 3-wheelers was great too!

Wreckfest reminds me of Destruction Derby on the PS1.

Yep and I love it.

I'll add that, playing exclusively online does have draw backs, it takes a LONG time to get your XP up and surprisingly, there are a few like, top tier racers out there who avoid the carnage. They lead uneventful lives I presume.

I've beasted my car with mods up to C164 (if you go to 165 it goes onto B class), my advice is do the daily challenges and main campaign a little bit at the start so you can get top 3 places online (unless you get wrecked

) and earn decent XP.

TBH it's more the size of the download as I swap in and out games all the time between internal, an external SSD (speed from internal SSD to external SSD is insane) and a regular external HD.

Actually, on that, 2 of my friends have 10x the speed of my internet on upload AND download (mines 60down 30 up) so they download games MUCH faster but when we play online they are Always having lag problems and I can't remember the last time I actually lagged in any game... must be a persistence thing...

True that! Game Pass on PC is incredible (with a DS4 controller)

Dirt 5 already

I bought a 5TB External drive last black friday and thought that would be enough for all my archive games, so I wouldn't have to delete things. Not even close. I don't think they come much bigger at the moment without needing their own power supply though.

Oh my, been playing Dirt 5 all morning it's BRILLIANT. I don't know if the weather is dynamic or not, it may be later on but at mo I think it's pre-determined but from dry dust to rain and puddles/mud everywhere is amazing to witness, the same happens starting with Rain and ending dry, then a mud track turns to all white when it starts snowing. The effects are great, and you have day and night as well. Handles so great, the oversteer/understeer sliding around corners is addictive (hit B button for Handbrake).

With Forza 7, Horizon 4, Need for Speed, Burnout Paradise, Wreckfest and now Dirt 5, GP has the racing genre sewn up.

Can’t wait to try Dirt 5 later. Set the install off this morning ready

Nice, Squadrons was one i fancied playing in PSVR, but knew i would drop it after a few hours. Playing it on Series X as part of GPU sounds like the perfect compromise.

As much as I love hockey, I find EA sports games to be almost a job these days. Too much content, too much time investment. I know I probably don't have to play an 80 game season alongside playoffs but I'll probably start it and give up after 5 games.
