True achievements also usually have decent tips if anybody doesn't want to watch videos.

I started with the rewards app back in November and then twigged the rewards website and chrome plug in trick around December. I don't manage all the daily searches every day but I've done enough to earn around £45 in vouchers without really buying anything on the store (just Steep and Resi 4 when they were both heavily discounted). One thing you don't get though is reward points when using a download voucher from somewhere like cdkeys (unlike on the Switch). You have to make the purchase through the store.

I’m saving my points to get as big a discount I can on a Surface. Currently up to 92k points, so over £75 worth. At the rate I’m earning them, I’ll probably get about £125 off when I’m looking to buy in the summer

Octopath seems like a good game to pick up those 50 reward points per day. Achievements seem to come around every 30-45 minutes so its a nice game to limit your play time with.

If I’m short of time I find playing any of the Telltale games helps get a cheevo within 15-20 mins usually. Trouble is, I’m on my last one I think now (Walking Dead New Frontier)

I won’t go out of my way to get an achievement for just 5p a day.

I will. I do. Every point counts. Yet to miss a day for any searches, achievements, daily set, weekly set etc for 174 days. That’s small fry compared to some on a Reddit though

I've seen people mention searches a few times - what's the deal with that? The rewards site doesn't seem to say anything about searching to earn points

You can get 90 points per day for Bing searches, 12 points per day for using Edge browser, and 60 points per day for Bing mobile app searches.

You can see your daily totals on the Bing homepage if you click on the rewards icon, or via the rewards app on your Xbox (down at the bottom left).

Last month I donated 11k points.
6k was doubled and went to Children in Need and 5k was to Alzheimer's.

Not bad at all.

You can get 90 points per day for Bing searches, 12 points per day for using Edge browser, and 60 points per day for Bing mobile app searches.

You can see your daily totals on the Bing homepage if you click on the rewards icon, or via the rewards app on your Xbox (down at the bottom left).

I use Edge on my phone to do the daily set, the 12 points for using edge and the 60 points for bing searches.
Then on my iPad I use bing.com and type in a random search of 1 new character at a time To get through those 30 searches for the 90 daily points. (Top tip, keep that browser window open forever and the next day, just go back through the pages, then the day after that, go forward again - all saves time!)
You can also do the bing.com PC searches through your Xbox own Edge browser too if you wish. Done that myself occasionally although it’s a bit clunkier.

There is no excuse really to not get at least 212 points every day at minimum (50 for any achievement, plus the 12,60 & 90 for searches detailed above). I’ve just gained the April 2000 points bonus this afternoon for completing the various easy tasks on that.

It literally is a case of MS throwing points at me to either buy more games, GamePass subs, or put towards cold hard cash off some hardware. It’s the best kept secret about Xbox if you ask me. I‘m only annoyed I didn’t cotton on to it before Oct when I started. Around 150k points earned in total since then!

Such a good episode of Black Mirror

Re the reward points, each to their own but I couldn’t care less about getting loads of them :lol:If I can save a few quid off a game down the line just through playing games via Game Pass then great, equally I’m not going to chase them to speed up the process, already feel like I’ve gained enough in the short term with the 3 years of Gold to GPU for an extra £1!

Exactly that.

Some of the rewards are generous and worth doing. And I understand the satisfaction of seeing the numbers go up, but carrying out 50 otherwise pointless Bing searches to get 15p is an insane waste of time.

I use a chrome plugin for the searches that takes 1 click and then sits in its own tab. Fakes bing too. Can't remember what it's called.

I wonder if there are people who have set up dozens, even hundreds, of accounts with a script that does all the searches every day.

Yep. I think people seriously overvalue the rewards points. I have it set up, and use Edge browser and Bing search naturally, but I'm not going to go out of my way to make sure I search X amount of times.

Always worth doing the big value challenges when they pop up though.
