I’ve got my fingers crossed hard that all Nintendo’s delays hit them for 2020 and 2021’s going to be a thick gush of juicy goodness. If not, God knows what they’ve been up to.
Yeah, I think we'll be seeing plenty of games due to be published this year being delayed. Smaller indie studios can perhaps get by a bit better through working from home, but the bigger productions from "AAA" studios will probably be impacted more severely. It'll be some time before gaming production returns to "normal"; the effects of COVID will be felt just as within most other industries.
But, hey, as a brighter spot we may see far more cool, smaller games arriving :-).

Wii U ports of course!
Being a little more serious I do hope that 2020 has been impacted much more for Nintendo first party games than 2021 will be but I’ve no idea how well Japan are coping with Covid so who knows.
The game industry could take 2021 off to be honest and I wouldn't be devastated. I've got more than enough in my backlog and not enough hours in the day.
Trying hard to see the positive here but it could mean the developers have more time to optimise the games for the new systems. I hope Flight Simulator for Xbox or the Multiplayer mode for LoU 2 isn't delayed.

I very rarely buy AAA games so I'll probably still end up adding to my ever increasing backlog.
Feel free to laugh at me if this is wrong but I think Sony are being real dicks by not just confirming GoW is not making this year as they must have known for a long time now.
