Drunken Master is really Patrick Bateman? Who knew?

And I'm proud of all my musical tastes - when I was at Uni I used to get ribbed for loads of different records in my collection that didn't adhere to their NME-following snobby tastes (which was especially apparently during the Britpop years, which was in this time). Like a few other posters have said, if you like the music and it evokes some positive reaction in you then it shouldn't matter what you listen to.

Puppetboy - I completely sympathise with you - my fav. band is Depeche Mode, and despite them releasing about 13 albums since and having huge sell-out tours and massive selling singles in the USA etc etc all I get is 'oh yeah, they're the ones who did "just can't get enough" didn't they?' :fp:

One of my all time favourite songs is Haddaway - What is Love.

But it's awesome so to hell with you. Couldn't believe it when it featured on the American Office

I don't really understand what makes a guilty pleasure. Is it when you like music that it's likely other people will have heard of? Obviously, I realise that no one is allowed to like music that is popular with the masses. How embarrassing that would be.

As for me, I'm 'guilty' of liking about 95% of the music I hear.

Well I obviously think they are quite good! The 'Everyone shut up' was more of a joke, I hide it (liking Paramore) because I am generally a complete metal head, but to be honest, recently I have just stopped caring whether someone else thinks what I like is rubbish. I especially hate the really up their own asses metal heads who despise you for liking a 'mainstream' band like Trivium.

Los Campesinos

I don't why I like them. No one else I know does, they go against everything I usually like in music and they've got that usually annoying "Radio 1 Indie" sound but I can put their album on any day and listen to it. I love it.

Paramore kind of, I don't like them, I hate the band members, but I always seem to watch them whenever I flick through the music channels on TV and they're on. I used to love them, went off them and don't even own any of their songs anymore but nevermind.

I think they get better and better, tangled up is their best album yet. Anyone who doesnt like girls aloud is either lying or dead inside.
