I would say pick up a blu-ray stand alone player in the interim, but you didn't listen to my advice about the headphones.
One annoying thing about my PS3 is while watching a blu-ray the fan keeps kicking in. It sounds like a jet engine during take off.

Must google it and find a solution.

I did listen to your advice - the sennheiser are cheaper.

Apparently, it's quieter.

For headphones that expensive make sure you get a decent headphone amplifier for them. Not sure I'd ever buy IEMs for that price mind you, my most expensive pair has been about £80. If I go above the £100 mark I'd always buy overears.

Can you recommend one?

The IE8's are in my amazon basket.
Soon as my wages go in tonight - Lovely.

Through two pairs of Shure e2cs in about a year. Never again. Awesome 'phones but the wire always ended up buggered.
