Bumped to make us all feel guilty. Unless you have all been studiously working away.

Define ‘studiously’. I’m on 21k (should be at 30 by the end of today) but at least I’m still going! Also I’m spending 12h in a scout hut writing on Saturday to catch up...

I've fallen off. Hit the 15k mark and stopped writing. I could say it was because of work picking up, but I've still had time.

I hate what I was writing firstly. Having a plan helped a bunch, but I wrote myself into a corner and couldn't get out.

Secondly, I lost interest in the overall story I was telling.

Thirdly, a bunch of extra stress appeared and writing the story stopped being a priority.

I think I'm going to start up again today though. I'm not going to hit 50k within the month, but maybe I can get there eventually.

That is very much the spirit. Do change it up and write something different if it isn’t working for you.

It’s done. I had a real struggle towards the end but crawled over the line. Don’t try to do a thought out rewrite in November chaps!

I’m guessing I’m the only person on GRcade who managed it, but to parrot an old NaNo mantra: you finished with more words than you started with. Even if you don’t do anything with them, at least that idea’s out of the way and you know it’s not one you want to write!

Also, I’m about to post something in the general writing thread that’ll make what we all wrote look brilliant by comparison.
