Anyone in a national sweep?

Ive got Ely Brown on the work one, quick google says its 100-1 and is ranked 39 of the 40 runners.

Come on jackpot

I've got Rubi...something. Took a look at the odds, saw it was something like 60-1, and thought "strawberry float it".

If he comes in, would you not be a bit disappointed you didn't have a proper bet on him? Given that the sweep can't possibly offer the same returns?

I've got a double on McIlroy and Shutthefrontdoor (AP McCoy). £2 at 55-1. :datass:

Just joined up for betfair as they are doing refunds if your horse doesnt finish. My one is literally the only 100/1 running.

Put a fiver on that one and a fiver on Monbeg Dude because that name is cool as gooseberry fool

I think the office is doing a sweepstake but the guy running it is on the other side of the room and I can't be strawberry floated to go over there and pay £1 for a horse that will not win.

Ours is £2 and the guy came to me. I think last year I had the favourite, that fell at like the third fence.

I've got Many Clouds at 25-1, ridden by the jockey who won last year which is hopefully a good omen.

£2 in so £80 return is better than putting the bet on myself.

For the record, I had to leave my desk and go to the person doing the sweepstake.

The sweepstake obviously wasn't selling well as he just came to flog tickets.

I pulled out "Bob Ford" which sounds more like a jockey than a horse.

The odds on my horse have extended from 100/1 to 151/1. My bet is still obviously on the old one, gooseberry fool.

There is one that was something like 651/1, so Im guessing its going to be a non runner.

I've joined one at work. I drew Alvarado, who I think I drew last year as well.

I'm in a work one too. I drew two - first was Carlito Brigante, which is the non-runner, and then Portrait King, which I think sounds a bit like a comic book villain.
