Did a search first to see if anyone has already mentioned it but couldn't find anything. Feel free to delete/lock this if my search skills are poor.

Netflix has a documentary coming next Wednesday which looks like it could be pretty interesting...

Didn't know about this so glad for the topic!

What period is it spanning with "classic" videogames? Arcade through to 16 bit consoles?

I added this to my set reminder thing last night. Hopefully it's done in a somewhat classy way.

I realise that, but people use the term interchangeably.

TO BE FAIR....

I remember as a 12 year old I would have Madden run through CPU vs CPU games on my Amiga when I was trying to get to sleep. I found it really soothing just to see all the characters bumping into each other etc. Simple lad.

Yeah, I know people who say next Wednesday to mean the 'Wednesday that is next' which would be tomorrow and they would use the term 'a week next Wednesday' for Next weeks Wednesday.

Huzzah! Glad I didn't miss an existing thread.

Discovered it by accident when we were watching something, paused it and it came up amongst all the other shows in the series of adverts that pops up. We'll all find out if they've done a good job next Wednesday. :)

It's very US-centric to list it as one of the most important videogame series, but that's Netflix I guess

Thinking about it as important as it is, it's nonsense to talk about the "iconic world" of Space Invaders too :P

That deep Space Invaders lore am I right

Maybe its more the world of Space Invaders/Madden in the sense of the stuff behind the game, the dev stories and all those sex scandals with those aliens molesting peoples anuses?
