Just finished the first season of Dark for the first time and i'm still not sure if i'm into it or not. I've found it really tough to keep up with who's who and what is actually going on which probably doesn't help. Is it worth pushing on with season two if i'm unsure on the first or shall I just leave it there?

The new transformers series has been put back to 30th July. I think it looks great. Shame Mockmaster isn't around anymore :cry:

I quite liked the first series, but it was certainly hard work keeping up with what was going on. By the second series I kind of gave up. There's a good show in there, but tbh I found the characters so completely forgettable it became a chore remembering who was who or what they were doing, making the plot too hard to follow.

Edit: more than just my initial reaction.

There’s a racist joke in nearly every episode of Community at Troy/Shirley/Abed’s expense if Pierce is in it. If I remember right, Chang going blackface for DND has no other jokes beyond that he’s done it and possibly him getting told to leave because he’s done it. There’s no harm meant in that joke compared to everything “Old White Guy” says which is clearly meant to be offensive.

What makes this worse?

I can see why Netflix are doing it but they definitely should to be looking more at the context of it in the shows they're cutting. Chang dressing as a 'dark elf' for DnD and immediately getting called out for it being a hate crime, I think Shirley calls it, is hardly the same as the racism in shows like Little Britain.

Looking forward to watching season three of Dark, but due its complexity and number of characters I feel like I should remind myself of the first two before diving in. I don't have time to do a full rewatch, but am planning on looking for a recap video on YouTube or the like. Anyone already done anything similar and have a recommendation?

Really looking forward to that Eurovision movie, but Will Ferrell is a bit of an acquired taste and I'm scared it'll be bad. But if it is, well, I suppose that'll be par for the course for Eurovision, won't it?

Just finished Dark, Season 3; general thoughts and ramblings - my head hurts :lol:

[contains spoilers for Season 3].

I'm 3 episodes into the final season of Dark, this show is so good. We end up pausing every episode multiple times to talk through events and come up with new theories (or sometimes just to try and remind ourselves who everyone is and their connections :lol:

).

The show definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea but I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in time travel stories. My big worry is that the ending will fall flat, I'm not one to demand answers for every little thing but if the ending doesn't tie things together at least somewhat satisfactorily I'll be disappointed.

Well, episode 5 of Dark season 3 is probably one of the most depressing things I've ever watched, they didn't hold back there :lol:
