It wasn't.
He preyed upon lost teenaged boys who, despite being straight, would have sex with him because he supplied them with the meth they needed. He is an awful human being but in the same way it must suck for Harvey Weinstein to go down knowing how many other people are getting away with the same thing, it must suck for Joe to know that he's in prison while everyone else is free. Not that he doesn't deserve it.
Apparently he's courting a pardon from Trump, which to be honest, is the only way for this to end. Tiger King is the most absurd true story I have ever heard. Kinda like how a kid might describe a superhero. "He can fly and also bullets don't hurt him and he has the strength of 1000 gorillas and he can speak french and time travel". The least shocking thing about Joe Exotic and everyone that surrounds him is that he owned 220 tigers; I was getting a little exhausted from the ever-increasing twists. It's only fitting that he be pardoned from his 22-year prison sentence by President Donald Trump. How is that not the icing on the cake?
