I think it's easy to say that these people are deluded, but I do feel sorry for them. What stands out is that they're lonely people and look for companionship. They've found companions that will believe any rubbish that they spout on about and not judge them.

Isn't that what we all want?

Also, I've come to the conclusion that people that believe the earth is flat also have pet cats.

I watched that the other day and found it hilarious and tragic at the same time.

I didn’t realise they had different factions with such hatred towards each other.

And the main guy so wants to strawberry float the lady he does the podcast with.

Some of them are intelligent/talented. The guy who built the motorbike and makes the flat Earth models is insanely talented. Then there is the one doing the experiments, he actually had some good ideas on how to test things. It’s sad that they have been led down a crazy path.

I loved the bit where Patricia was talking about how everyone thinks she is a spy. She was so close to realising all her crazy beliefs were as crazy as those of the people that hate her. “And they think they have proof I am a government agent because of the last three letters of my name”

I watched all of After Life in one go last night.

Seemed pretty good.

Currently 75% on Rotten Tomatoes.

8.6/10 on IMDB.

The wife and I also binged After Life over the weekend. I really enjoyed it. It was very dark, depressing, funny and uplifting all at the same time.

I think the only bits I didn't quite enjoy as much as I thought I would were when he was talking about atheism, seemed a bit too "this is the bit where I get to talk about atheism", wasn't smartly woven into the narrative and stood out because of it. I agree with what he had to say, but it could have been done better.

Gervais so I'm out.

1/2 way through Titans and I really like it - but i couldn't tell you why. I think it's a text book example of "more than sum of it's parts"

I've always found it odd how much he goes on about Atheism. He seems to go off on a tangent in all his material regarding it, as if it makes him somewhat special that he doesn't believe in God. It puts me off him a bit, even as a non religious person.

Ricky Gervais puts me off life. Like, if there's a god and God created Ricky Gervais then God is worse than Hitler.
