Just bingeing Love Death and Robots.

It’s pretty fun, but also pretty empty and juvenile. A lot of the eps have an interesting idea or two bubbling under but doesn’t really do anything with them.

Looks stunning though.

More Love Death + Robots

The Witness - looked amazing, animation was so fluid, and future Hong Kong looked so real. Shame the story didn't go anywhere other than "ooh, mysterious".

Suits - bad Starcraft fanfiction

Yoghurt - very funny, felt like an early Futurama but, probably because of the narrator as well.

Aquila Rift - space Shelob in Mass Effect

Good Hunting - one of the more involving stories so far, and great animation again. Shame that it ended where it did, as it felt like it could have gone further. The whole thing feels like it was inspired by this one El-p line, "mechanical fox hunt, be quiet they're hunting now, the method is awesome".

I missunderstood your post and thought the show Suits had changed quite a bit since Megan Merkle left :slol: :fp:

Looking forward to season 2 of The OA tomorrow. I think I was the only person who enjoyed the first as it pretty much disappeared up its own arse five episodes in. But yeah, I love that pretentious arty bullshit. :)

John Carpenter's The Thing is now on Netflix.

An actual perfect film. Kurt Russell at his best, amazing supporting cast, the best practical effects ever, stunning soundtrack and a perfect ending. There is literally nothing that could be improved in this film.

Quotable, memorable with a load of classic scenes and the feel of the film is just amazing.

If you've not see it then watch it and enjoy the best sci fi horror film since alien.

Male only cast. Though i think someone has a poster of a topless woman in one of their rooms. So maybe the film does think of everything.

I watched it for the first time a few months ago, it really is excellent. I'm watching The X-Files at the moment and recently saw the episode Ice, very similar and very good.

I watched the first season and genuinely don't know whether I liked it or not.

I'll probably watch S2 at some point but I'm in no rush.

I'm currently watching Van Helsing and while the acting is terrible at times it just has a certain b-movie style which I inexplicably like.

Did 5 episodes of the Umbrella Academy this weekend.

It's not amazing - but it's also very watchable. The cast and production values are amazing (although the use of music often feels inelegant and heavy handed). The plot is pretty so so (everything is so mysterious. It's getting weighed down by mystery).

It's a bit "[Netflix's] Dirk Gently meets Superheros" - but it works pretty well. I'm not sure all the mysteries as going to pull together as tightly as most of DG's, or the plot will look good in hindsight

Vanya totally isn't "Very very ordinary" right - she's definitely going to go Dark Phoenix/destroy the world?

And done - I really enjoyed that!

The team behind X-men Dark Phoenix must be a bit worried!
