The TV series equivalent of Primer

Its a lot more coherent than Primer.

Watched the first episode last night and really enjoyed it. Felt very Stranger Things though so I'm hoping it does its own thing as the mystery progresses. I'm assuming that the weird torture chair is basically the Animus from Assassin's Creed.

Just started Transformers: War for Cybertron, seems fairly decent so far in terms of tone (and the fact its G1) but I don't particularly rate the animation, its a little bit clunky and slightly blurry.

Is that based off the game?

Nah, it's original.

I enjoyed it, but I understand the gripes about how the animation and visuals are. Backgrounds are basic and the animation is kinda rigid looking. But yeah, I thought the story was cool and I liked the performances for the most part. Can't wait for the next part.

I watched Cobra Kaib EP1. Seemed good. Does it continue well?

I watch the first 4 episodes of Shitts creek. Didnt like that. Low on comedy, more of a drama.

I also watch the first episode of the Transformers. I used to like the original cartoon back in the day, and this seems a similar standard, and that aged very badly.

The first episode or two were great in that it continues on from the world of the Karate Kid movies and the lives of Danny and Johnny in a believable manner. After, the plot gets convoluted and events seemingly happen so that there are interesting things to show the audience and at times it's like a bad young teen drama. Saying all that, I have a special affection for the original movies, there are plenty of guest appearances by familiar faces, I watched all of series one and two and am looking forward to three which should be coming out soon.

The season two cliffhanger was signposted in an early episode and I was chuckling to myself and can't wait to see it paid off.

I think it's actually a lot better than the original cartoon series in some ways, certainly in tone and voice acting.

Cobra Kai is quite possibly the best ressurection of an old franchise ever.

Aggretsuko Season 3 was also fantastic.

S2 E10 of Cobra Kai :datass: :datass: :datass: :datass:

Epic karate battle.

Overall S2 is weaker than S1, but it's still a cracking show.

Cobra Kai. Finished both seasons. Haven't seen The Karate Kid in years but definitely want to rewatch it. :datass:

John Krese has aged remarkably well for a man in his 70s wtf.

Turned out Johnny's motorbike road trip....the actor who played his high school friend was dying of cancer too.

Loved Johnny's phone call "Yeah we do allow both boys and girls to take part...gender what? Is this some kind of prank call?" :slol: Great character development from him.

The amount of drunk driving and lack of legal consequences 80s style . :dread: :slol:

Stingray duct taping each hand around the beer bottles and his hip thrust in the fight.

Miguel. :dread:

Roll on season 3. :datass:

The social dilemma with Netflix at the moment seems to be whether to tell people you're going to watch "Cuties". ;)

Just finished ep 1 of season 3 of Dark.

Is the ending going to annoy me or is it actually going to work?

Watched this a couple of months ago and loved it, it’s nuts just like Regular Show was. I remember when it was announced years ago for TBS and I was really looking forward to it but then it vanished from sight and mind, glad HBO rescued it!
