I felt exactly the same. Knowing what was coming later, I was pissing myself when the customers were moaning that the plane wasn’t what they were promised.

I feel sorry for the workers on the island that got screwed over, but the spoilt rich kids? Nah. The clip they showed of the comedian summed it up for me, “you paid $3000 to see Blink-182? That’s on you!”

I don’t know who the bloke was, but he looked and sounded like some sort of promotions big shot. And he would be willing to do that just so water can clear customs?

Either the customs officer was gorgeous or Billy McFarland is a wizard capable of literally bewitching people.

Really enjoyed the Fyre festival documentary. Tanked almost as hard as Ja Rule's music career.

Finished the Ted Bundy Tapes 4-part series last night, really good documentary.

Bundy was such a fascinating individual and really became the benchmark for what people think of when imagining a seductive and "normal" looking psychopath.

There's a scene at the end when the judge issues the death sentence and then talks to Bundy about how he feels sorry for everyone involved in the whole mess and that he doesn't hold any animosity towards him and wishes him well that really stood out, gave you a glimpse into the mindset of a career judge that's probably sent tens of people to their deaths and how heavily that must weigh on their conscience. Heavy stuff :(

And then I saw the trailer for the Zac Effron movie where he plays Ted Bundy and it's got this obnoxiously upbeat music over the top of it and it just seems so distasteful, that can strawberry float right off :x

Out today -

Russian Doll is about game developer Nadia who keeps dying and re-living her birthday party over and over again… Any more details would probably be considered a spoiler.

https://www.netflix.com/title/80211627

TV show, got great reviews, 8 episodes.

Velvet Buzzsaw is a thriller set in the contemporary art world scene of Los Angeles where big money artists and mega-collectors pay a high price when art collides with commerce. Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Toni Collette, Zawe Ashton, Tom Sturridge, Natalia Dyer, Daveed Diggs, Billy Magnussen, and John Malkovich star in the new mind-bending film written and directed by Dan Gilroy.

https://www.netflix.com/title/80199689

Movie, 70% on RT - "Critics Consensus: If you only watch one art-world satire with horror overtones this year -- or most others -- it should probably be Velvet Buzzsaw."

I bet it's not as good as that Next Gen episode where the Enterprise keeps getting destroyed while in a time loop.

I remember that episode. Maybe not clearly, but I seem to recall Data noticing the time loop and then a few more notice while playing poker.

The Drumhead is indeed amazing.
It's a top tier Trek episode with an amazing story and great acting from the wrongly accused and the evil bitch trying to accuse him.

A great courtroom drama episode.

Natasha Lyonne is really good. But is she the same character in this as she is in Orange is the new Black, and American Pie?

The new nature series, reminding us that we're all on one team. #OurPlanet, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, explores stunning, never-before-seen habitats. Coming globally to Netflix on April 5.

Started The Sinner this evening - pretty good so far. Bill Pullman is an underrated actor, he's got a very subtle, natural style.

I finished Titans yesterday. Absolutely loved it, it is sort of DC’s answer to the Netflix Marvel TV shows, but is more violent and far more sweary than anything Marvel came up with. I can’t wait for season 2.

So it seems that Netflix started us off with episode 1 of season 2 last night instead of season 1 for some reason :fp:
