I'll be cancelling my premium subscription then and go back to the standard sub, there's strawberry float all 4k content I actually want to watch anyway.

Having read and loved Neil Gaiman's Lucifer character and story I really hoped this would be good. A while back I watched the first two episodes and it just seemed a bit... meh, second rate cop show with magic. A description of the actor from a review I read described him as a 'camp hairdresser' and I do agree. You obviously like it, does he become more menacing, does the show find its feet?

I'm tempted to switch down myself. Almost all the 4K content is Netflix's own stuff, most of which I'm not interested in, so I don't get a huge amount of use out of it.
It's sad to see that all the analysis of this is talking about how it's to fund more of their own productions. I just want them to have a bigger library of already existing films and TV shows, I'm not bothered about them pumping out thousands of "originals" nobody ever asked for. But now every other distributer out there has to have their own streaming service, the Netflix library is only going to get smaller outside of their own shows, and we'll all have to pay a fortune every month to access all the stuff we want to watch.

Can't wait for piracy to spike again and the majority of streaming platforms to go under so they finally realise people don't want a fragmented market, and just want one service with all the films on it, the way music streaming works.

I'd say the show getsuch better, and pretty interesting.

It's very different to Lucifer from Sandman and Lucifer though. We'll, from what I've read.

I read Pedz's initial post as talking about Luther, not Lucifer. Imagine my confusion at the bold bit

She'll keep you safe. Watch I AM MOTHER on Netflix June 7, 2019.

A sci-fi thriller about a teenage girl (Clara Rugaard), who is the first of a new generation of humans to be raised by Mother (Rose Byrne), a robot designed to repopulate the earth after the extinction of humankind. But the pair’s unique relationship is threatened when an injured stranger (Hilary Swank) arrives with news that calls into question everything Daughter has been told about the outside world and her Mother’s intentions.

I didn't even realise that the Lucifer TV show was supposed to be related to Gaiman's work, I may actually give it a go now. All I ever knew was that it had the bloke from Miranda in it and I think that will always be hard to get past!

Very very very loosely.

It's comfort TV. Perfectly on the nose, perfectly enjoyable, perfectly unoffensive and unchallenging.

Hopefully Russian Doll 2 is good, but the first season didn't strike me as needing a second season.

Exactly what I thought.

Same as After Life.
