I'll be cancelling my premium subscription then and go back to the standard sub, there's strawberry float all 4k content I actually want to watch anyway.
I'm tempted to switch down myself. Almost all the 4K content is Netflix's own stuff, most of which I'm not interested in, so I don't get a huge amount of use out of it.
It's sad to see that all the analysis of this is talking about how it's to fund more of their own productions. I just want them to have a bigger library of already existing films and TV shows, I'm not bothered about them pumping out thousands of "originals" nobody ever asked for. But now every other distributer out there has to have their own streaming service, the Netflix library is only going to get smaller outside of their own shows, and we'll all have to pay a fortune every month to access all the stuff we want to watch.
Can't wait for piracy to spike again and the majority of streaming platforms to go under so they finally realise people don't want a fragmented market, and just want one service with all the films on it, the way music streaming works.
