Part way through Tiger King, funniest off the cuff line so far is the main documentary director saying "That is a horse penis by the way."

Just got to the meeting with the lawyer hinting at torching the studio.

What the strawberry float, why is there footage?! How is this something I just saw? :lol:

I think my favourite person from Tiger King was the producer who was filming the original reality show. How he just spent most of his interview saying how awful and strawberry floating nuts these people were but it was great TV so just keep the cameras rolling.

As interesting as the documentary is, and in a way is good to be brought to light more but it does feel like this is exactly what all these terrible people want. Unless more arrests follow, they've all effectively 'won'. Even Joe is practically a celebrity now which is all he wanted in the end and everyone else is going to be cashing in even more.

I went back to watch the Louis Theroux episode with Joe Exotic in last night. It's from 2011, and he's such a different person back then. He's almost normal, there, it really makes you feel bad to see just how far he's fallen into a totally strawberry floated mental state in just 4 years.

He also interviewed Tim Stark, who manages to come across even worse than he does in Tiger King. His first segment on screen includes him repeatedly punching a lynx (I think) in the face.

I just watched the Tiger King Aftershow episode. It is just a few light-hearted phone interviews with some of the main people from the documentary. Crap episode really but interesting how they all agree that Joe is a prick and deserves to be in prison, and that Carol killed her husband.

A few stories there ( the horse one in particular) that make me think Joe deserves everything he got.

I also watched that episode yesterday and was amazed at how Joe Exotic seemed the most sensible of the people Louis interviewed. He seemed to have a respect for how dangerous the animals are where the other nutters were happy to put their own life and anyone nearby in danger.

That’s disappointing about the Aftershow.

Guess they rushed it together to capitalise on the hype.

That's absolutely what they did. I'm glad I watched it but it's almost not worth bothering with. The interviewer was such an annoying bellend too.

Only two episodes into Tiger King but Joe's the least dislikeable of the main characters so far.

Edit: FYI I still have no idea where this documentary is going.

Pretty much this. It would have been better with them just talking without an interviewer.

I loved that film! that and “an American tail” I have no idea how many times I watched them as a child but not seen either in years

Just watched the trailer, pretty sure I watched this as a kid

Started watching Kingdom (Korean zombie apocalypse set in the Joseon period) , first episode was a bit slow going but the second was quite good and definitely makes me want to watch the rest.

Plus the fact its subbed makes the crap acting far more bearable.

As for Tiger King, I'm not watching it as I can't stand this type of Louis Theroux esque 'documentary' involving crazy people.

Do yourself a favour and don't. It's exploitative trash and you would honestly feel totally down in the dumps near the end of the series when they unbelievably think it's a good idea to show someone who is in a bad way successfully taking their life off-screen and the reaction of the person who witnesses it. It's awful shite and I wish I'd never heard of it.
