I felt exactly the same after watching episode two last night. Went back and watched the fifteen minute season one recap afterwards and I now feel much better.

The casting for Vesemir in this is absolutely spot on.

Really enjoyed the first 2 episodes, thought the Nivellen story was really well adapted having just recently read The Last Wish.

They've used the extra budget they got for this serious so well, too, it looks amazing. I've even forked out extra for a month off UHD just to enjoy it that bit more.

Just finished episode 7 and for the most part been very good, I’ve only read the 2 short story books and halfway through Season of Storms so can’t compare the storyline to that of the other books though. Probably get it finished off tomorrow.

I definitely want to read the books now.

I really enjoyed this season, getting some important questions kind of answered and then the last 10 minutes of the final episode was really good.

Happy to see more people planning on reading the books, I absolutely love them. Must've been a few years since I read them now so I wouldn't mind reading them again before replaying Wild Hunt next year.

Watched the last episode now and I’d say it’s been the weakest episode of the series so far, don’t get why they introduced loads of no name Witcher’s just to kill them off :fp:

It’s not a bad episode but just preferred the rest really. Blood Origin looks promising too.

Yes, they've all been translated for a good while now.

Might look into getting them next year then, it’ll give me something to read while I continue to wait for The Winds of Winter too :roll:

Think I’m going to have to succumb and get a kindle or something though, got far too many books already (really need to offload some to a charity shop at some point) and it’ll stop people buying me books unless I actually ask for one :lol:

Listening to Blood of Elves atm and I can't decide whether I like the narrator or not, it works when he does different male voices but some of the high pitched female voices he does are incredibly jarring.

Love how the dwarves have strong Welsh accents :lol:

Finished the second season now, have to admit a few times I was losing track on whom certain poeple were or what they were actually after outisde of Geralt, Yen & Ciri for the most part but really enjoyed it. Sad to only have 8 episodes though, was just starting to kick into gear I felt.

Just watched episode 6 and I'm enjoying this less and less. I just don't think it's all that good. Clearly has a lot of funding but still manages to feel a bit cheap. They're also rushing through the story and changing elements to match the faster pace and it just doesn't quite work as well. It's like they're adding and removing story elements without really understanding why.

Nenneke is also so miscast that it hurts. I love that character but the actress portraying her has zero warmth or chemistry with the other actors. Someone like Miriam Margolyes would've been perfect for Nenneke.

Might just read the books again.
