Doesn't even have white hair or cat eyes. Or a strawberry floating beard! What is this gooseberry fool Netflix!?

Not sure when the review embargo is up but apparently this has been getting some positive buzz from those reviewers who have been watching it.

On a Continent riddled with evil, the paths of a monster hunter, a sorceress and a runaway princess converge. The Witcher, starring Henry Cavill, arrives December 20, only on Netflix.

I'm really quite excited to find out if this is going to be any good or not. I'm really not keen on the castings so I'm going to keep my expectations low and hopefully it'll surprise me. Might reread the books in the new year and finally get round to playing Blood & Wine.

Having dog dirt forcefully smeared into your eyes is better than the last series of Game of Thrones.

I'm really excited to give this a try tonight. I just hope it doesn't disappoint. I've started rereading the books and it looks like the first episode is directly based on an early short story that I happened to be reading last night so my hype levels are increasing.

Watched the first 5 minutes earlier and it seems to be the Butcher of Blavikenstory. The lack of two swords troubles me though.

I've not read the books but I was told when people first complained about the two swords thing that he didn't carry two in the books - he keeps his other sword with his horse?

I'm definitely going to be giving this a watch tonight, I don't expect it to be the worlds greatest TV show but a solid swords and sorcery affair will do nicely!

Yeah, that's the story I was reading last night. Did Geralt even have two swords in the book? I honestly don't remember and haven't seen mention of it yet in my reread.
