Anna Shaffer will play iconic sorceress Triss Merigold.........who you may remember as Romilda Vane from Harry Potter - the girl who gave Harry a love potion. Shaffer also played Ruby Button in British soap opera Hollyoaks.
Other actors joining the cast include: Eamon Farren (The ABC Murders, Twin Peaks) as Cahir, Joey Batey (Knightfall, Strike) as Jaskier, Lars Mikkelsen (House of Cards, Sherlock) as Stregobor, Royce Pierreson (Wanderlust, Judy) as Istredd, Maciej Musiał (1983) as Sir Lazlo, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte (Jamillah & Aladdin, Dickensian).
I've got no problem with Cavill being a younger Geralt but that wig is just offensive. They couldn't have make it look cheaper if they tried and no matter how good the story and acting is - the wig is all that will be noticed.
First impressions are that it's going to be cheap crap.

To be fair - it's early test footage, not the finish product.
Although it doesn't look much better than a cheap sketch show

Some shows on Netflix don't have very big budgets. Some shows on Netflix have massive budgets.
Sense 8 was reported as $9million an episode. The Get Down and the Crown even more than that.
Exactly, in fact I think The Crown is actually the most expensive TV show ever produced.
I would imagine this would get a solid budget from Netflix as they will be looking to establish some new "tentpole" shows with House of Cards and Orange is the New Black both drawing to a close.
