Ok, I'm willing to overlook the number of swords but Triss not being a super hot redhead is inexcusable.

On to episode 3

Whether there is an element of story from Witcher 3 or the Bloody Baron quest is inspired by a different book story about Foltest it's hard to tell as I haven't read much. This is pretty good though, it's not an adaptation of the game but they've definitely taken tone from the game in the combat sections.

Scratch all of the above in the spoiler. Most of these tales come from The Last Wish book (which I'm reading alongside playing Witcher 3 on Switch), that's where I'm getting confused as to what comes from where.

Cavill's Geralt voice is perfect.

I thought some of the dialogue in the first episode was a bit iffy but I'm pleased so far and enjoyed it overall. The sword fighting was everything people said it was, nice surprise.

Episode 1 down and yeah it's a good watch!

Cavill is great as Geralt and the supporting cast have all been excellent as well (you can't really go wrong when you've got a Mikkelsen in the cast :datass: )

CGI in the opening was a bit ropey and it's hard to tell just how well you would follow it if it was your first experience of anything Witcher but I'm definitely impressed so far, considering how badly things may well have gone!

Finished off the series last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I want to replay Witcher 3.

Henry Cavil is really good as Geralt and is stupidly handsome.

Watched the first episode. Cavil is amazing as Geralt.

I have read some of the books and recognise the plot from this episode as one of the short stories. I don't know how accurate the rest of the show will be.

Watched episode 1 and I'm unsure.
I can see it's well made I'm just not sure I'm enjoying it and I honestly can't say why. I should be loving it as a huge D&D fan but just something isn't clicking yet. I'll give it more episodes and hopefully I can start getting into it.

Finished up last night, it was really good! Easily my favourite show this year.

This has to be the biggest budget for a Netflix show? These episodes looked really good and Netflix is usually notorious for poor special effects and cheap looking shows.

That ending though :| thank for it's got a season 2

Want to watch this, but also don't want to spoil the Witcher 3. How much overlap is there in the plot?

The stories used in Witcher 3 will probably come in later seasons. This is more close to the first books and probably witcher 1
