For those who don't know who some of these people are:

Stephen Hawking - invented black holes
Dorothy Hodgkin - took pictures of chemicals
Ada Lovelace - invented computers
Alan Turing - world war 2 man of the match
Alexander Fleming - invented antibiotics (accidentally)
Michael Faraday - realised electricity was kind of useful
Rosalind Franklin - invented dna

I thought Turing was also considered a predecessor for the modern computer? With all that clockwork gooseberry fool. I know women basically invented programming.

I vote for Barry from Tamworth, we've had enough of experts in Britain.

I'd go for Faraday as it's weird he isn't on something already given the importance of his work.

Other nomination; the national treasure that is Sean Bean. What better way to encapsulate a career of dying on screen.

The Queen is the only living person allowed on bank notes.

Which means if we kill Farage, he can be on the £50 note.

I approve.

I saw a facebook post earlier suggesting it should be Margaret Thatcher.

It's all a bit of a controversy.

Watson and Crick got the credit, but what they mostly did was interpret work done by Franklin. Then Franklin was denied the Nobel prize because she was a woman proper dead.

Watson and Crick did a huge amount of work, but Franklin deserves to mentioned alongside them.

Put Hawking on it, then have a NFC loop in the note which makes him talk to you through your phone.
