Just listened to the Unlocked podcast, they did not like this at all and that's from an Xbox podcast. The wrecking zone was boring but they liked the campaign but not really that much.

I mean, its on gamepass so I'll get but can't say I've been looking forward to it. Dem Orbs though (which admittedly they said was as fun as ever).

That's disappointing, Crackdown was great. I guess the troubled development had a very negative effect on the game. Still, I am playing through it on release via Gamepass.

Played an hour or so and had a lot of fun. Ran well. Using the verticality, buildings and destructibility to avoid enemy fire was very nice. Not for everyone but I can see me dipping in and out of it regularly.

I'm expecting bad reviews but Eurogamer gave State of Decay 2* an 'avoid' and I thought it was excellent.

I expect Nick will be in to troll and post it's Metacritic score further clarifying the fact that he's turned into something of a parody and/or caricature of the SDF.

*they actually used a guy who hated the original to review it

I imagine this will get 7's and 8's which I wouldn't have a problem with as long as it's fun to play. The original was never going to be an award winner, it was just bloody good fun and that's all I want from the franchise really!

tbh It's looking like 4-5's but yeah, it's on gamepass and pre-loaded so I'm looking forward to it.

With the reviewer, who would you go with? What I mean is if the.person hated 1 but loved 2 would that make his review of 2 invalid? Would you want someone who adores the first game to do the review and then give a great review for 2? Wouldn't that be the same thing as the bad review from the guy who hates it? Or would you rather a 3rd person review it who has never played the 1st all?

I listened to this also. My feelings on playing it are much the same as yours also, possibly a bit of fun single player action. Fingers crossed, bit I won't be losing any sleep if it ends up being a bit shite.

He references that he didn't like the first one and this is more of the same, an option you didn't refer to.

Right? I didn't say what he did. I asked what you would rather.

Basically, would you have preferred someone who loves the first game to review the second game?

If you would prefer that, would you then saying well, the review is duff as he liked the first? Or would you be ok with it and wouldn't that technically be double standards?

I also suggested that what if he hated 1 but loved 2, would that have been ok?

Or would you rather someone review it that hadn't played 1?

Again I didn't ask about what the guy did.

I don't want to derail this thread but I don't like Metal Gear Solid games, can't stand some of them and would give MGS 2 an avoid. I wasn't saying he was wrong I was just pointing out that he,d never have liked it. Tbh the majority of the review is on about bugs, pretty much none of what he mentions happened to me and there was a stupidly big patch on release day. That said, it was still buggy but not as bad as was in this particular review, anyway nearly a year down the line it's pretty much bug free.

Back on topic, the wrecking zone got a 5gb update I wonder if that means parties can play it together now?
