It manages to do a lot of things very well. Cool combat, nice driving mechanics, decent enough shooting bits. The story is quite interesting.

Yep a great game, particularly if you're a fan of class John Woo films.

Loved it when it first launched and so I bought the definitive edition for PS4 but have yet to check it out.

Playing Dying Light Enhanced Edition at the moment. Need to finish it before the sequel arrives. Scares the crap out of me though!

Enter the Gungeon (PC)

Had it since launch but barely played it. Fancied something a little different from zombies. Fun, if surprisingly difficult at times.

Unsurprisingly I'm on a bit of a cyberpunk run at the moment.

Observer: This is an incredibly pretty game, and utterly terrifying. You play an Observer, a detective who can hack into people's subconscious through implants, making his way through a low level slum building on the hunt for a vicious murderer. The real world sections are pretty enough, but when you enter people's minds is when it gets full on. Some of the effects on display are mesmerising as these worlds of thought shift and collapse around you. It is, however, primarily a horror game and as someone with a low tolerance for scares it's pretty tough for me to keep going. It's worth it though.

Oh, and the player character is voiced and modelled on Rutger Hauer. So there's that.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall: I played Shadowrun Returns on its release and it was great. I've now got to get through the 2 expansion campaigns, this and Hong Kong. Not far enough into this to pass judgement, but its suitably cyberpunk to satisfy my current itch.

Same developer as Soma, (which I thoroughly enjoyed), is it not?

Almost, Bloober Team. They did Layers of Fear. SOMA was the Amnesia guys, Frictional.

Ak, now I want to play SOMA again.

I enjoyed Layers of Fear also. Got my devs mixed up. I did briefly read about Observer but never got around to picking it up. No doubt it'll find its way into the Summer Steam sale.

Prey, I've had it a while but only played for an hour, it got X1 enhanced a couple of days ago so booted it up again and I like it, it's quite clunky in parts but yeah it's good.

So far nowhere near as good as any Bioshock game (even infinite) but it may get better.

Been playing through a fair bit of Sushi Striker for Switch, and it's certainly one bizarre but brilliantly addicting puzzle game.

I'm currently playing through West of Loathing, rather enjoying it.

After this I'll be starting Hollow Knight, a game I've been looking forward to playing for a long time now.

Golf Story - Picked this up in the current sale and am really enjoying it so far. Full of character and charm while the golf reminds me of older gameboy mario golf titles.

Yeah, it has picked up a lot of praise, fry. I've held off from the game but I think that quite a number of GRcadians have enjoyed this.

Would highly recommend it based on what I've played if you're at all interested in golf. Enjoying the variety of side missions.

Ghost Recon Wildlands - Co-op campaign. (X1S)

The introduction of the Sam Fisher mission is glitched to hell. We hadn't even selected the mission, which can only be done at night, but as the morning came in about 10-15 times in a row 'Mission Failed' kept popping up on the screen. Then for at least the next 10 minutes while were were doing a completely different mission old Sam kept introducing himself telling us he was "in position". It eventually settled down but it was very odd.

As our session drew to a close did we find a huge dam and so we did a few base jumps Bond style and drove a few vehicles off the top before calling it a night, (I managed to perfectly land a bike on the rocks below said dam without taking any damage, which again was very odd as the fall should have destroyed the bike and killed me). Good few hours fun though and we did manage to pick up what's considered the best assault rifle in the game from one of the hardest areas on the map.

Finished the main portion of West of Loathing from the looks of it (comes to a rather abrupt end in my opinion), enjoyable game with great writing. Might go back and play as a differ style of character at some point, I'll be starting Hollow Knight shortly though.

I've also downloaded Fortnite just to see what the fuss is about, if I don't get on with it I'll just delete it and have lost nothing bar a bit of time. Hollow Knight will definitely be getting loaded up first though.

Still going with Observer. Deary me this game has given me multiple heart attacks. It's remarkable though...some of the imagery on show is just stunning.

I used to play Kingdom of Loathing years ago, loved the strange humour of it all.

Yeah the humour is great, is Kingdom of Loathing from the same developers then?

Not sure but they're set in the same fictional universe.

KoL was a browser based RPG with a fantasy parody theme rather than the western theme of WoL but the two look similar gameplay wise.

KoL was far better than it should have been, it was the humour and writing that made it great.
