Played Use Your Words and the second Jackbox pack with some friends last night, the sound effects jackbox game went down a storm.

Wahey ace, we're also getting mileage out of Use Your Words and Jackbox (3 in our case). They're perfect for this time of year :toot:

Jackbox has been amazing on the last 2 GRcade streams I did where we played 3 and 4. So. Much. Fun.

On the continuing adventures of Sims 4, my two cats have mated again and then fought immediately after, there's a baby within the house that should be aging up soon, and I'm struggling to gain enough money to grab a much-needed computer to advance the careers of my sims.

I am an idiot who grew his family too fast without thinking of the cost of doing so.

Hmm, while I'm still enjoying Moonlighter it feels like it's better when you started out. Granted I've been playing on Normal but felt the problems might still exist in Hard difficulty (which is recommended) by getting profit and buying better gear/potions. With that being said, I'm having fun still so happy to keep going until end of the playthrough

Just tried playing Undertale, and jesus strawberry floating christ, why is this so popular?

I get that it's trying to be retro, but the sound is irritating, and the controls are beyond basic. I'm not even really sure what's going on. I'm supposed to be solving puzzles, but most puzzles seem to just be flipping switches, and the "combat" is just strawberry floating weird. Walk away from fights, or just trial and error your way through dialogue options until it's over.

I went into this blind, as that's what was recommended, but I feel like I'm missing something, because this looks awful.

Used some of my Christmas Steam credit and download Slain: Back to Hell in the sale.

It's quite difficult in places, but a lot of fun. Great soundtrack as well.

The combat was the only thing I really enjoyed about it (sometimes it's like a bullet hell game). I don't understand the love for it on the whole. There are other indie titles that have been more impactful for me, I think.

It's always fun seeing people's reactions to Undertale. I bounced off it pretty hard the first time round before knuckling down the second time and completing it in a day.

It's brilliant, deceptively so. At the start it appears to be a really simple, lolz internets affair before diverging off into a narrative that plays with and upends loads of gaming tropes in really interesting ways. It also has one of the best soundtracks in years, and the characters are incredibly well written.

I've beaten Moonlighter and have gone over to New Game+. It seems the NG+ was recent addition so it was nice to see, and it definitely feels more challenging to do but still has same issues I've got with original mode.

Trying for speedrun (which to be fair, shouldn't be too bad as I'm sitting on 2hrs and have fourth dungeon to do which shouldn't be too bad)... And finishing off every single boss save last boss with godawful weapon in game, third boss made it hell.

There's also lot of bugs. One time it wouldn't let me use roll ability, other times open up my bag, enter my shop or it could sometimes freeze in middle of it. Frustrating and it's what makes me drop it to 7, even if I still love it.

I love it when I complete a level in Slain that he does this in time with the awesome metal track :toot: .

With good bulk of Moonlighter done I figured I'd go back to Valley and give it a proper play.

My boyfriend said the HUD feels very Skyrim on the radar thing, and now I can't unsee it...

I've wanted to get to this for the longest time, partly due to the amazing art + the headbanging :toot:

How're you finding it difficulty wise? I recall reading that at launch the game's balance was way off, something I think they tried to readdress in patches

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna The Golden Country DLC, liking it so far after 10 hours (although a good chunk of that has annoying been spent on side quests to get my community level up).

I'm not usually big on platformers/Metroidvania games and Slain is difficult to be sure, but unbalanced? I would say no. Every section I've become stuck on I've eventually gotten past through memorising the sequences, enemy types and their patterns. In that respect it's pretty standard I would say. It's a hell of a lot of fun and only a few quid on Steam right now.

And the metal tunes are great.

Ace, sounds like they did adjust it very well in that case. Shall definitely pick it up in time!

I'd grab it quick. Via the Steam sale it's £2.49 for the main game and £1.49 for the Deluxe DLC.

Bargain. :datass:

Book of Demons

A strange mix of Diablo and deck building card game with Paper Mario esque 'cardbard cutout' graphical style.

Enjoying it so far despite being terrible at it, there's a permadeath mode but I don't think I'll be trying that just yet.

Used some more of my Steam credit and grabbed Dusk.

Oh my word this game is amazing! :datass:

If you have any love for 90's FPS titles then this is an absolute must have. As one Steam reviewer said "Quake and Blood had a baby!"

Been ploughing on with Nier recently. A little bit into the third campaign and things are getting even more interesting now. On a side note I like the comedic slant the dialogue often takes, particularly when 9S is involved.
