I went back to Titan Quest last night after hitting a brick wall in a side quest with an impossibly hard boss late last year. I levelled up a few times and got some better gear so I’m now past where I was stuck and have just finished the first act.

Persona 3 Fes

I finally finished the Journey part of the game; really happy about that considering its been on my backlog for so long, now onto Answer - never done any of it so its all new to me.

I do have save waiting for me on P4G but honestly I'm thinking of starting a new game on that; since I forgot most things now.

I'll prob take break from RPGs and play one or two non RPGs for variety

Still playing Persona 3 Answer - I don't really enjoy some of boss fights because it's more cheap than actual tactic, so far all I can see to beat it by just grinding. Again.

The story's alright, was nice to see some party members' past and I'm enjoying it. Just wish some of boss fights aren't dumb.

GR Wildlands still getting played most evenings with a couple of friends.

The weekend saw me playing a lot of SFV Arcade. Marvellous fighter. However, I slipped back to the more relaxed NMS after said SFV session left my fingers burning.

Continuing with my play through of Silent Hill Downpour this evening. It's a pretty good entry in the series so far. Better than Homecoming, which itself I didn't think was quite as bad as some felt it was.

Coming up to hour 20 of Etrian Odyssey 2. I'm on the fourth Stratum, which has some absolutely lovely music.

Starting playing Resi 7 again before I play the Chris DLC and it's so good. Trying my best to find all the antique coins and bobbleheads but I'm sure I'll miss some.

Have now four-starred the first eleven stages. Suspect I'll have to become Samuel Johnson to do the lot.

Just attained the four-star rank on 37 out of the 40 challenges... the battle is REAL :datass: .

The Pig from Saw has been added to Dead By Daylight and it sounds awesome. Gonna give it a go now, love this game so hard.

The frozen Wilds - looks amazing, plays so good and has real challenge. Though the new creatures are a huge let down. Robot snake, shark, hippo, dragon, bat, wild boar, scorpion, spider, all would be more interesting than the new ones.

Monster Hunter Stories - a brilliant 3DS game, lovely 3D world's and cute versions of all monsters.

Wish my image sig would work

With Persona 3 FES all beaten (both Journey and Answer) I started Persona 3 Portable on PSP as female MC, which gives it lot different feel than original plus the fact I can use direct commands on other party members means no more stress of hoping AI does what you want them to do

Also skill cards being included meant I've got more reason to train personas for them, got Angel with Bufu and Agi skills so I can potentially clear a floor 1-15 on my own :shifty:

And the design of female MC? So good! Love her so much.

Went round to a colleagues house and play on his Vive. It was good fun but I don't really ever see it becoming a mainstream thing. The problem is the space required and the time to set the system up. The games were fun, but I wasn't really blown away. I played super hot VR, space pirate trainer and steam labs demo. I thought the best thing I played was the labs demo. I liked having the space to walk around and explore, even if it did mean having to teleport around a room. Also messing around with stuff it the environment seemed more interesting than just shooting at stuff.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Embarrassed to admit that I didn't realise the bobbleheads were collectables you were meant to shoot until I had '0/20 bobbleheads' crop up on the post-completion ranking screen <_<

I only missed 2 in the end. Chris DLC was a little disappointing. He's a bell end now and it was just an hour of action that didn't really add anything to the story.

I’m still playing Titan Quest. I think I’m about two thirds of the way through the second act.

Still playing through Alan Wake on PC. Runs at 60fps at 1200p with settings on full, which is nice. Some of the character models look a bit last gen, but everything else looks good.

Forgotten loads about the story, feels mostly like a game I've never played before.

I assume I must be the last stratum of EO2U. It's pretty strawberry floating annoying. Bomb FOE. Whoever thought of this needs a slap.

Started Alan Wake last year on PC, although I've yet to return to it. It has aged very well. Plays great as well and is quite scary in places.

Have you braved wandering off the beaten path to find pages from Alan's book? :dread:

I always look out for your Etrian Odyssey updates, Squinty - it seems to be a series that not many folk play! I did play EO IV for a few hours and enjoyed it - the mapping aspect was great! - but they seem to be pretty challenging titles, too.

I wander off on every opportunity. I'm not going to be able to get all of the collectables, but will pick up those I can find without too much effort. I wonder if I will get to solve the mystery of why someone has dumped coffee flasks everywhere? Were they supposed to be dumped with the ET cartridges in the desert? Is there something more sinister behind their appearance? Exciting times for Alan ahead!

Yes?

I've just played about 15 minutes of Oxenfree and it's boring me senseless. There's just nothing but dialogue, and it's strawberry floating boring dialogue to boot. It feels like there's far too much of it, as I keep getting voice lines cut short because something I've done has triggered another one. I've seen this game get heaps of praise, but I don't think it's for me at all.
