It's really strawberry floating good. The characters just don't shut the strawberry float up though. And it's a lot of pointless repeated information. Just let me play the game Issun.

Okami is an absolute epic, but goddamn the simlish pretend "we don't have to pay to localise voice actors" speak is super-annoying. I remember playing it on ps2 and thinking that it just went on and on forever. Thinking about it, it was perfect practice for how massive games are today.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Switch)

Episode 1 has been fully completed, all gems found, bonus challenges done, target times met etc. It's good fun and it's nice to have a game to just dip in and out of.

Looking forward to Episode 2.

Just reached the 40 hour mark on Planescape: Torment. Last left it after finally meeting Ravel Puzzlewell, one of the highlights of the game so far and I have a feeling the story is about to really ramp up.

You can turn off the gibberish speak. But the text is still way too strawberry floating slow at points.

Just started Sleeping Dogs: Definitive version. Really like what I've played of it so far. Also had a stab at Nuclear Throne (courtesy of Johnny Ryall) which is an 80 retro style ( :dread: ) top down rogue like shooter which so far, has been good fun.

I loved Sleeping Dogs, make sure you do the DLC stuff after you finish the main game as it’s great fun!

Yeah, I did Pokémon Tower, got the flute, caught two Snorlax, cleared out the Silph Co. building and attempted the Saffron Gym but got my ass handed to me by Sabrina. Gonna try heading South from Lavender Town next and see where that leads me.

Finished Planescape: Torment last night. That's a special game, deserving of all the praise, if you're at all interested in mature storytelling in games and/or RPGs, definitely give it a shot. The part at the end where you meet the other incarnations is so good, and the moment where you learn your name was really touching. It says a lot that the largest XP gain in the game by far is achieved through finally knowing oneself, not just killing some rare creature.

Might start Ninja Gaiden Black next.

I'm stuck in Dishonored 2 in that morphing house place, literally have no idea where to go next. :fp:

Such a pity as it looks very pretty on 1X.

Reached chapter 5 on Ninja Gaiden Black earlier. I'm not especially great at this kind of game in general, and I know this is meant to be one of the harder ones, so it's taken some getting used to. The second boss riding the horse kicked my ass a few times before I got him. I'm having a much easier time since learning the Izuna Drop though.

What was incredibly annoying was having to replay almost all of chapter 4 because my Xbox One signed me out and for some reason that also shuts down any running games too. I swear the wi-fi in my XBO is faulty as download speeds are slow (I pretty much have to download stuff when it's in rest mode otherwise no progress will be made) and it's a dice roll whether it will even sign me in to XBL when I boot it up, even then it'll almost always sign me out at some point if I'm using it for more than 10 minutes. I can only assume it's something to do with the console itself as any other device's internet connection is fine, even PSN downloads at 10x the speed, for christ's sake.

World of Warcraft.

Decided to give it another shot as boyfriend wanted to play it, and enjoying it much more this time. Toxic people still exist unfortunately but I've joined discord group that helps people with shyness/anxiety issues to have fun with wow, and I don't feel like I'm being judged for being "new" to it (despite being pre 2009 player, lost my character though)

It still has things that annoys me and from what people said about the endgame it doesn't seem like it's worth it for me, but I'm enjoying the journey to 60 at the moment on Priest Tauren @ Doomhammer, lv20 ATM

Finally have Valkyria Chronicles 2 out of the way. A lot of mixed feelings about this one but I don't really see it as the big step down from the first game like a lot of people do. Improvements in a lot of places, but it doesn't go far enough to fix mechanical problems - and in fairness this kind of game is hard to balance/make mechanically tight - and while I don't think the school setting is necessarily bad the big focus on school hijinks is kinda...ugh. Also, a big selling point of the first game was how beautiful it was - obviously hard to recreate that beauty on the PSP, but it's a nice-looking game considering the limitations.

In a bit of a completionist mood at the moment so I guess I'll at least try everything out in WarioWare Gold/find all the minigames. Not that I haven't been enjoying this game but it's - unsurprisingly given its 'greatest hits' kind of goal - not as refreshing as Smooth Moves (my favourite) or Touched for me. I might have a more glowing opinion of the game when I delve more into it though. I've pretty much just given all the story modes a once over bar a few, and tried out some extras. Still a lot more to do.

Then I'm feeling like tackling the original Sonic games since I've never played them through.

They rebalanced scouts to counter scout rushing from the first game, but then they introduced fencers who are very OP, so yeah the balance is about as broken in both games.

The big advantage VC2 had to me was multiplayer. I co-oped most of what I played with a friend and it was good fun.

Okay, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned balance because I don't know if Valkyria II actually improved on that specific aspect of the gameplay, but overall I enjoyed it more in II.

As it happens I barely used Fencers (Armoured Techs rather), but I made great use out of Shocktroopers who get especially OP themselves later on - getting the flamethrower which can 1HKO a lot of units including cannon towers/gatling turrets from any side, and which I found to be the most useful weapon to tackle bosses with. To be honest, finding out strategies you could cheese out levels with was kind of fun.

Theres an incredibly sneaky way to complete that mission in about 2 minutes without alerting anyone. Theres a hidden entrance in the main lobby that lets you dart straight into Jindosh's room and bypass literally everything in the entire map

I know what I'm doing tonight.

(can't see anything online about it) :x

I've seen nearly every inch of that f**king gaf and yes it's impressive but I want to get on with the other stuff and DLC (which I own and is waiting).
