Just came in through the letterbox about 20 minutes ago. Haven't got round to reading it properly yet but the Vanquish preview is highly favourable, but they have their doubts about the lack of any multiplayer modes.

Awesome, cheers.

If you don't mind and have the time, could you possibly post/PM me some of the more interesting stuff they had to say about it.

Wow, what an issue of great scores.

Great to see Alan Wake and Red Dead get positive feedback.

Monster Hunter score

The Fifa score makes me suspicious of all the others.

If you were being harsh on it, I'd understand an 8.

Anything less is just silly.

Is it just Fifa 10 reskinned with World Cup teams?

Nope.

Updated game engine (which is better) and new way to do Penalties. It has Qualfying as well as the Finals, you can play the World Cup online and there are various scenarios related to World Cup games to play.

Obviously Fifa 10 has more content, which is why I'd understand an 8, but it plays better.

Even so, I wouldn't automatically become suspicious of every other score because the guy who reviewed Fifa wasn't a fan.

Wow at the Monster Hunter Tri score. Wasn't expecting that at all.

EDIT: oh, it's just the online portion of the game, but still, great score.

Maybe the demo is nothing like the final game but Split/Second gets an 8 seems too much.

I just tried the demo for the first time last night. Can't see what all the hype is about, to be honest.

I think Alan Wake will split the forum a bit. No-one will think it's outright bad, but some will be disappointed just as much as some absolutely love it.

I'm totally against the idea of people marking it down for no multiplayer or for its length, mind. Assuming the last chapter and a bit don't drag on forever, it's close to the perfect length for a single-player adventure for me.

Good score for RDR! Mind you, it was always going to do well. :)
