Good to see people remaining neutral still even after watching both parts of this so called documentary rather than being vindictive and accusing MJ

Saw an awful tweet from Louis Theroux saying people who still believe MJ is innocent are willfully being blind. As a professional documetary maker he is not being very neutral on this case is he? I have lost all respect for Louis Theroux and can never watch one of his documentaries the same way again because of how biased he actually is. What a fake!

Continues to defend person even after countless accusations of child abuse but will stop watching documentaries by someone had previously considered a professional due to a tweet. Righto.

What brings about so much doubt for me is if I focus on the two guys that took MJ to trial in 1992 and 2005. There was just too much evidence that they were corrupt liars so for me it was a no brainer that MJ was innocent.
But with these two guys its just their words about what happened behind closed doors and they both seem to have good backgrounds so I dunno what to think.

Jackson had an almost insurmountable amount of power and wealth and was constantly surrounded by lackeys that obeyed his every whim as they were no doubt as equally infatuated by the 'King of Pop' as anyone else. It's entirely believable that whole groups of people and families were manipulated by Jackson.

Michael Jackson's lawyer Tom Mesereau who defended him in 2005 has come out to define MJ again. Sounds pretty convincing.
I'm not saying that I think MJ is 100% innocent though as I don't know. But its just good to hear people coming to his defence too.
His comment at 3:50 onwards is interesting! Really makes you think

Wendy Williams taking a different point of view on this too "lies lies lies"

Tom Mesereau looks creepy. Jackson 100% guilty confirmed.

All it really makes one think is that Jackson used his power, money and influence to silence people. People without power and influence. People who were afraid that they wouldn't be believed.

Do you know why so few ever came forward regarding Saville prior to the mans death? Fear. Fear of not being believed.

You want to know why so many victims of rape never come forward? Fear. Fear of not being believed.

Jackson and his lawyers used that fear to their advantage.

Meserau looks like he would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddlin kids. Maybe the paedo was Meserau wearing a Jacko mask. He's even got a strawberry floating fairground.

Would you accept £20million with no admission of guilt, knowing that he would certainly go on to do it again to some other kid?

Or would you want a full criminal investigation?

Or, take the money and then wait till he's dead so you're not breaking any legal agreements.

So, as a parent, the idea of a sexual predator being punished for abusing your child wouldn’t be a factor for you? You’d take the money, happy to bismirch their name once they’re dead? I suppose it’s a lot of money...

Or, accept 20 million and not have to face the best legal team money can buy and a potential jury of people who view it as the biggest and best pop star in the world v some random person.

Don't try to pretend it's an easy choice for a childhood sexual abuse victim to make.

I wasn't saying that's what I'd do: I was suggesting that's what's happened.

This.

I have never been sexually abused so it’s hard to know how I’d feel. I’d imagine everyone reacts differently and wants different outcomes.

I can see why you’d want your abuser to be convicted and locked up, but I can also see why you’d want to run away and try and get the world’s media off of your back.

Jackson fans often say he paid off the kids because he just wanted the accusations to go away. Well that logic also works for the abused kids, $20million will set you and your family up for life and mean you don’t have to go to court to be cross examined? I can see why that’s tempting.

I watched the first part of the documentary off the back of this thread. Its a tough watch and pretty damning. But it is totally one sided, and therefore i will reserve my judgement. This thread seems, and i emphasis that word seems, to be some Jackson fans calling the doc lies, and then a populous condemning Jackson because "all these accusations must be right because theres so many. The rumours were true about Saville.". Someone on my facebook feed posted about Wade Robson and britney spears, so i googled that and it led links to him dating Jacksons niece at the time. More hearsay? More fake news? On the news this morning there was a piece about the false accusations against Cliff Richard. Are we condemning him too? I dont have the facts, and its not my job to find them, so i am going to stay on the fence.

I also watched the flat earth documentary off the talk in the netfix thread. That was a more balanced documentary. And i conclude that the earth is round.

There was very little evidence on Cliff Richard.

Michael Jackson was accused of child abuse and then continued to have kids sleeping in his bed. At best he was a strawberry floating weirdo and in all probability was an abuser.

I can't tell if you're being facetious. Are you really suggesting that Louis Theroux shouldn't be allowed to form an opinion because of his work? Because he makes documentaries, he must be impartial in every aspect of his personal life?

What a joke.
