I've only watched 2 episodes of Discovery so I can't really have a full opinion on it.

But the fact it has been so long since I watched those 2 episodes and haven't felt the urge to watch more is probably quite telling. I was coming off the back of the Picard disappointment so the residual funk from that was definitely a factor

Like, there’s nothing outright bad about it? It’s not amazing, it’s not awful, it’s just kinda...there? Was a nice waste of an hour or so once a week, for us.

God. I don't know why it irked me as much as it did. Apart from the fact that

Everything was a massive drama so nothing was
The future they envisioned was exactly the same as the future in their past only a bit more post-apocalyptic
The music was so overblown I swear multiple musicians must had died from blowing into their instruments so hard
Michael's constant whisper-talking
Tilly. Everything about her.
The first trans character getting killed within minutes of appearing.
The detestable frat-society tone of the crew's interactions.
The nonsense overarching plot.

I get genuinely angry just thinking about it.

Games wot I worked on:
Night Call: Out now!
Rip Them Off: Out now!
Chinatown Detective Agency: 2021!

There is only one character that I like and they ad-lib all their lines as the scripts are really poor. The cat.

I have been hate watching this since episode 3 of season 1.
