This is why we can't have nice things. Having just picked up Fist of the North Star, Judgment and still having Yakuza 4-6 (and Dead Souls?) to go, it'll be a while. Will probably get on PS4 or maybe PC as and when it gets discounted. Denuvo though :dread:

Still playing through Kiwami, and with Kiwami 2 to go after that, so this is a way off for me, too, especially if this is sequentially after the later Yakuza games, which I'm still hoping will see a PC release soon, so yeah, definitely waiting for a post release definitive edition on discount.

Weird that even the pre order site is vague about what these bonus sets are. Are they just costumes, or are there aspects of management sub stories/mini games which are DLC too?

It was the same in Japan with previous games, but once released in the west they'd just give it all away for free. I guess not with this one. I'll just be getting the base version as the sets will likely just be high level stuff and materials - so nothing you cannot possibly do without.

I don't think I ever found Bob in Yakuza 4, even though the game made a point of telling me he had loads of extra stuff for completing the other games.

Revealed exclusively as part of IGN's coverage of Comic-Con@Home, the game will arrive in November 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (via Windows Store and Steam). It will be released as a launch title for Xbox Series X this Holiday, and the PS5 version will "release at a later date". Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be priced at $59.99 across all platforms

Apparently there's two exclusive character jobs in the most expensive version which is a bit shitty.

Looking good, but I'm not sure how I feel on the change to gameplay. Also releasing so close to Cyberpunk and Assassin's Creed, surely this'll be fogotten in the midst of new releases?

With all the negativity at sony for getting exclusive characters and timed exclusives, its a pretty disgusting move to make this a timed next gen exclusive for series x especially as the game wouldn’t even exist in the west if it were not for sony/ gio corsi. I won’t be getting this at launch as the turned based mechanics turn me off. I want a more refined fighting system with kazuma kiryu back. I’ve tried the japanese demo and although it looks decent, its not that much fun to play.

And Watch Dogs Legion. This reminds me of last year, when Shenmue 3 moved from a decent September release date to be crushed by the AAAs in November.

This is literally the worst possible month to release the game, so I hope the exclusivity deal was worth it.

The games industry releases 90% of the yearly releases in October-November every single year and never learns their lesson.
