Agreed many of these were seasonal offers but for me the supermarkets (Asda & Tesco) are now places to consider purchasing software on a regular basis as opposed to committing myself to a pre-order price I'm going to wait and see what supermarket deals are on offer.

and Fishy.. did you just add 3 replies in a row to this thread? :D

they've released QFB on Blue Ray Rik?

In Ireland they have. I didn't realise it was out here. I would love to have the disc as I like my Insomniac games in a collection

Hmm, I think I've spent an outrageous amount on games this year. Probably not as much as I could have done given that a lot of games were pilfered from Pedro in his post-Golden Hello splurging, but still a good 700-800 worth without much challenge.

I always promise myself in the new year that I'll finish all my modern games before I buy another. I might refine that to make it a little more likely; this year, I'll finish all the games that are nearly done (Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, AitD and probably a couple of others) before I start....stealing more games from Pedro.

I noticed it in Game today (Cannock) so I picked it up as I had a £10 gift card for Xmas, I haven't noticed it anywhere else though.

I'll update the first post when I can get to a computer. It's a bit difficult trying to do it on my phone.

Make it a challenge, who can stick closest to budget with a set amount of games.

E.g I dont want to spend over £400 but want at least 12 games. Or something similar.

In Hugos case it may be £2k and over 40-50 games

£400 on twelve games

That's a bit much for twelve games isn't it? Wht are ou buying on? PC games are generally £15-£20, and console games I buy after release are around £20-£25. You can fit twelve games in easily with room to spare for more stuff.

Presuming he wants mostly console games on release £400 is probably about right. Its an average of £33.33, which is actually on the low side to be honest (but not impossible).

First 3 months...

Race Pro - £35
Killzone 2 ~ £35
Street Fighter 4 - £25
Halo Wars ~ £35
Empire Total War ~ £20
Dawn of War 2 ~ £20
Resident Evil 5 ~ £35
GTA : China Town Wars ~ £35

Total spend = £240. £60 left over for downloadables and extras.

£100 a month should be very doable.

I think the content on PSN/XBLA/VC will be a real dark horse. With all of the Fallout DLC, Rock Band tracks, flOwer, Fat Princess, World of Goo...

...ut oh.
