What single remake would make you jump into next gen?

For me it would be Battlefield 4 remake.
It's just the ultimate multiplayer and the setting just does it for me for some reason and I'm not sure why.

So, what would make you jump in?

So no remake would make you interested?
It seems odd that remakes of Nintendo games seems to get interest without question but nothing on the Xbox or PS4 makes you interested in next gen?
I'm not trying to start an argument it just seems odd to me is all.

Honestly a remake alone in most cases wouldn’t be enough for me to buy a new generation of console as while I enjoy them I always enjoy getting something new with a new console. It would depend on the remake though of course but a remake alone hasn’t swayed my decision for a new console yet.

Check my posts, I rarely ever want remakes and I have no idea why you mention Nintendo.

I'm struggling. Remakes are usually a nice way to relive old experiences but it's rare they're system sellers. FFVII is the only one I can think of at a real AAA scale, and even something like Shadow of the Colossus and the Halo games are...nice rather than must-haves.

I can't think of anything off the bat. I'm in the same boat where I'd rather have new games, but can't deny that FFVII looks great and RE2 was absolutely fantastic. There's nothing I'm calling for, but will probably still be excited if the right one drops.

I guess the only one I could go for is Snake Eater using the Fox Engine like the pachinko game Konami put out. But at this point I don't trust Konami not to strawberry float it up. And even then it isn't like MGS3 is in dire need of an update.

Just get a PC, and experience remakes whenever you decide to upgrade.

I'm happy with Resident Evil R3make after the GOTY that was RE2 Remake. Would love them to then do RE Code Veronica before moving on to Dino Crisis. How about some Square RPG remakes? Xenogears and Parasite Eve 1 and 2 plz.

Remake suggest more to me than just graphical enhancements - that's a remaster. PC doesn't really give you either for free - Resident Evil or Link's Awakening remakes are notably different games.

I don't think any would be a system seller for me though

I loved this. The fact you could use most of the environment as a weapon lends itself to a next gen remake, think about the possibilities, smashing a vending machine, using shards of the glass or smacking a coke can on someone’s face. Scrolling beat em ups are a dead genre so this would be pretty cool.

Some of the real time destruction game engines could be amazing. Imagine walls breaking as you throw people on or through them!

Eh I see no harm in having remakes alongside new games, in sense they can give the games a new light, and also attracts in potential new fans. I see no harm in it.

Anyway... on the subject, I'd like to see remakes/remasters of older games that never made to outside of Japanese such as most of Fire Emblem games, Gifpia (spelling) and Captain Rainbow to name a few.

Also I'd like to see older FE games before Awakening to be remade/mastered to include Casual Mode, it annoys me when unit dies and I have to restart the whole mission anyway. It'd be something else if I go in wanting it in first place and moving on whenever unit dies, but I typically want to keep using all of my units and not lose one to bullshit RNG system :eyes:

Finally, Kuru Kuru Kururin -- be it brand new sequel, or remake of older games, I want more Kuru Kuru Kururin.
