The most insane weekend of football I think Ive ever seen, every game came down to the last play, a Brady comeback that wasnt, go ahead score beaten by go ahead score, a game decided by a coin toss, road teams getting big win and so many of these guys are just starting their careers so we got 10+ years of this to look forward to!

Update on the food bracket:
NFC:
49ers - Potstickers
Rams - In N Out Burger

AFC
Chiefs - KC BBQ
Bengals - Skyline Chili

Made a call on the Skyline Chili, gonna make some "Coneys", basically chili cheese dogs cos like strawberry float am I making pasta for gameday. 49ers still alive, the threat of making potstickers hangs in the air!

The overtime rules still make no sense to me. Surely it should be possession vs possession, so if the first team scores the other team should have an opportunity to match or better it, with it then resetting if it's still tied.

It used to be worse, before you could win, with the other team not getting a chance to posess the ball, by kicking a FG, now its only a TD that will result in a team not getting a chance to score. This is one of those things that will change, just remains to be seen if theres enough momentum for it to be changed now.

Disappointing for the Titans to crash out at the first playoff hurdle having done so well to get there in the first place as conference champions. Seems to be the year of the underdog with both Tampa Bay and the Packers losing (with home advantage too, no less) to lesser ranked teams.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton decided to stepping down after 15 years with Saints. :(

Definitely, it's a new era for Saints after Brees retired and it's time for him I guess too.

I thought we would have seen something similar with Brady and Belichick, when one went the other would follwo but that doesnt seem to be the case. Be interesting to see Payton does next, hes leaving the door open for coaching but word is hes in high demand with the networks and if he takes to that the same way Romo does then I cant see him coming back to coaching.

Huge redbuild project in New Orleans now, be interesting to see if they tear it alld own and bring in someone brand new or go with a promotion to keep some bit of continuity.

Brady is apparently undecided still so its not official.

What a pair of games though. Im on 4 hours sleep, I just couldnt go to bed until that Rams game was over, it was too compelling. Hell of a matchup ahead, Im rooting for Stafford though, anyone who manages to b good in Detroit deserves to get a ring if they ever manage to escape.

Also its Burgers and Chili dogs in the foor matchup so that should be a good one too! :D

Washington have chosena new nickname, they are now the Washington Commanders, a truly awful name. I expected the new name to be gooseberry fool but they really strawberry floated up with this one.

I honestly think they should have stuck with Washington Football Team, it sets them apart from every other team , it makes them feel more authentic and historic, theyre THE football team in the NFL. The obsession with the team needing a "name" is so weird, theyre the football team in Washington, just call them Washington!

So, it's Super Bowl tonight.

I think the Rams will win it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals win it.

Credit to the BBC for the set. Compared to the abundance of CGI guff they’ve had for sports coverage, this is one of the best they’ve had in years. Wonder if the NFL paid for it…

The Rock coming out and doing the whole WrestleMania routine to kick this off. :slol:

Pretty much the same set as their usual NFL show isn't it?

I missed most of the build up to this, but just caught The Rock. He's a bit cringeworthy with that schtick these days, but it was an interesting opening I guess

Pleased to see the Bengals get back into this, kind of rooting for them I guess.
