They talk a lot of gooseberry fool, but it's mildly amusing so I tolerate it. I also like Cecil Martin.

I'm fairly sure Kevin Cadle, the anchor, is actually from the world of basketball. Like, they picked him up because he's an American working in the UK and just shoehorned him into the NFL coverage. The English guy, Neil whatever, used to be a kicker or something for an English team and this apparently qualifies him as an expert.

Fun Fact: Kevin Cadle is the most successful coach in British basketball history. How he found his way onto TV and fronting NFL coverage is anyones guess. Coras probably right in that he was there doing the NBA when they had it and just figured hed be fine with the NFL stuff.

So the Bears are ranked last in the Power rankings this week:

Which is always great to see. :dread: I know we had the Packers and the Cardinals who are both likely to do well this year, but it still doesn't look like it's going to be a good year for us, especially with Cutler injured now.

Id almost put the Cowboys down there with no Romo and no Bryant, but then everything the cowboys do seems to annoy me so its not surprising Id put them there.

Cutler has been a huge waste of money, it isnt helped by the fact he doesnt seem to care at all. Hes had about the same amount of success as Philip Rivers but they are viewed totally differently, not least because Rivers is an emotional, fired up guy on the sidelines.

Yeah I'm not too sure why we've stuck with Cutler for so many years, I do think we need to mix it up. Surprised we didn't go for a young QB in the draft, the fact that Kevin White will most likely miss the whole season just makes our 2015 draft look worse, but Langford been pretty positive. We do look pretty toothless offensively now, with Forte being our only star player (might be able to add Jeffery and Langford, but not sure on them yet, especially Jeffery this season).

I dont know what the QB prospects are like for the draft next year, but I think Cutlers time in Chicago has to be near an end. Its surprising hes come through a couple of coaching changes too, he could have some power behind the scenes too, trying to get in guys he know wont get rid of him.

I'm not too sure what to make about the appointment of John Fox actually, he did very well with the Broncos, but I don't think the AFC West is as competitive as the NFC North. The Packers will always have a good season, Minnesota just had a good win against Detroit, but Detroit are coming off the back of a playoff appearance last year. So our chances aren't realistically that great. Fox had his best seasons with the Broncos when Peyton joined, so I would like to see how he does if we do get a replacement for Cutler. I doubt we'll be able to get someone of Peyton's calibre though.

Honestly thought they had thrown it away in the 4th quarter, but god 5 take aways again.... Still not convinced on Offence, though Marshall is looking like a steal

We basically got Marshall and Stacy for a fifth round pick, you can't do better business than that. Marshall is an absolute beast, when the game was on the line he forced his way in with three Colts on him.

Didn't really expect to win that game to be honest but it shows we're obviously a big improvement on last year already and we have Richardson and Devin to come back so will get stronger. Hopefully we'll be 3-0 before Wembley, my tickets turned up today :)

Drew Brees seems to be out for a while with an injury so we might use Cowan or Grayson.

Yesterday's NFL game on the BBC averaged a really poor 290,000, the lowest of any London game on terrestrial. I guess putting it up against the rugby, 2 big Premier League games, and the L'Arc De Triomphe on 4 wasn't a good idea after all. If they're really serious about growing the game here then they're going to need more than 3 games and a highlights show on free TV, even with the extra 3 (poorly promoted) games lined up for PickTV. The Sunday 6pm-9pm slot is ideal though.

Haven't watched a game in years but I thought Miami were really poor with their 1st and goals opportunities in the 4th quarter. If they had converted 2 of those chances, they could have won maybe. I liked it on bbc2.

If the NFL's serious about gauging interest they'd send a good team over.

Instead it's just an excuse to sell out a game that otherwise nobody would care about, I mean the Jags game every year for 3 years is just because they can't sell out their own stadium

Gauging the US reaction, it seems to be quite evenly split as to these early US kick-offs over breakfast; some like them, some don't. Having an NFL team in London though pretty much garners a 100% negative response.
