I guess putting it up against the rugby, 2 big Premier League games, and the L'Arc De Triomphe on 4 wasn't a good idea after all. If they're really serious about growing the game here then they're going to need more than 3 games and a highlights show on free TV, even with the extra 3 (poorly promoted) games lined up for PickTV. The Sunday 6pm-9pm slot is ideal though.

If the NFL's serious about gauging interest they'd send a good team over.

Instead it's just an excuse to sell out a game that otherwise nobody would care about, I mean the Jags game every year for 3 years is just because they can't sell out their own stadium

They have sent over good teams, the problem is they send over a good team playing a bad team so it ends in quite a boring blow out. Falcons Vs Lions last year was a great game. Like you say Jags playing against 49ers and the Cowboys were just huge blow outs, so again not really that fun to watch. (Also The Patriots were over in 07 which was their crazy year good year 16-0 losing to the Giants in the Super Bowl They blew up the Buccs that year)

As for yesterdays game, the Dolphins were dreadful, the Jets were not even pushing themselves and still won by double digits, I guess as a result of the Jets rather tepid approach and the Dolphins awfulness the atmosphere was not amazing. Considering how many people were building up the Dolphins in the offseason their start has been woeful.

Still solid win for the Jets 3-1, schedule does not seem too harsh either, I wonder if this year could be the play offs? (Wild card of course, Patriots have the division already) The AFC seems quite open especially with trouble in the AFC North what with the Ravens starting so poorly and Big Ben being out. Would have been nice to play the Cowboys now rather than December mind

Had a great day at Wembley, place was rammed and Jets had great support :)

Massive bomb to Marshall first play set the tone and when it got tight we had Revis Island to rap it up. 3-1 going into the bye week and with the Redskins next, better start than I anticipated. Decker is an absolute hero.

2 wins on the bounce and playing winless division rivals Lions this week. We can't dream of a 8-8 finish can we (never thought I'd say that)? Bears are enjoying some last second wins lately.

i know this thread is obviously the NFL thread but does anyone watch college football?

i've got BT sports so no NFL to watch live so i've been watching the NCAA on ESPN.

really enjoying it, less breaks, more crazy plays, lots of American weirdness.

Solid win for Minnesota this week - next two fixtures are divisional ties away at Detroit and Chicago respectively; it's important that we get results there. I expect Green Bay to ease into the top spot in our league but there's a wild card spot to play for. Would be so good to have a winning season.

I used to watch a lot of it when I had ESPN America but then things all changed and I went for Sky Sports over BT so I dont have it anymore. It was a great way to spend a lazy Saturday and there was never a dull moment over Xmas with all the bowl games. The weirdness factor of all the rivalries is definitely a nice bonus too. Also, Im just gonna leave this here.

What the hell even is that? How is it ever supposed to work?

Will probably miss next weeks Pats Vs Jets game as I will be travelling back from Wembley, probably just as well the amount of times the Jets seem to turn over the ball, I think the Pats will be the ones to make them pay.

The only conceivable way I can see it working is the QB taking it from the gun and immediately pass to the right for a player with a load of blockers to gain some yards, even that is an insane gamble. But the way they lined up there it was never gonna work, as soon as the Pats lined up and it was obvious they hadnt been fooled or panicked they should have just taken a timeout and moved on.

It's probably too early to get my hopes up but I genuinely think the Vikings could make the play-offs this season. A comeback win over Detroit yesterday took us to 4-2, behind the Falcons in the second wild-card spot. It's a big ask to finish ahead of Green Bay, who've had a 100% start, and I doubt we're capable of that, but I genuinely think that if we can take care of Chicago at Soldier Field next week that the momentum could take us into the second wild-card spot. Skol, Vikings! :D

Anyone know where I can get official NFL jersey's that aren't at the extortionate prices from the official team sites? Would love to get a Forte Bears jersey.

eBay, to be honest. They're still pretty expensive even if you buy them in the US - my Ravens jersey cost me a cool $100.

Race to Super Bowl 50 highlight show to start airing on BBC2 from 11th November at 12:15am. Clearly don't have much faith in it at that time...

That Steelers jersey (?), is it commemorative or something? Looks very retro.

A few teams have gone down the retro route recently I think - I noticed one of the teams in the Green Bay vs. San Diego game last week was wearing a similar one. Not sure why.
