I've yet to tackle Twilight, Robbo, but those rapids appear to be fast-flowing.

The legendary Crysis... perhaps still a PC tech test today, Preezy.

I'd not seen that Hard Water stage before, Qikz, and the crystal effects are a fun addition.

Reflections in the water in Ruby Sapphire were really nice

I love old-school pixel water effects and that reflection is so well done!

I do like seeing the retro wave effect as demonstrated here - in multiple layers! - by Worms (Director's Cut) on the Amiga 1200.

Given the setting they kind of had to get things right, but I think Bioshock definitely has some lovely water effects on display

Ooh, yes! Good call, Jen - that opening scene with the fire on the water was the first thing I saw on my new Xbox 360. It looked fantastic!

I always liked the rain effects in Streets of Rage 2. The falling rain was impressive and the disappearing pools on the ground were very well done.

I remember being mesmerised by the water effects in Sea of Thieves when Pedz streamed it. They really are tremendously impressive.

Sea of Thieves definitely has the best water in games, phenomenal stuff.

I do love it in Mario games though, Galaxy and Sunshine have great water, as does Mario Kart 8.

Scabb Island swamp in Monkey Island 2 for me. It was so evocative with the way the light fell and so on.

It's really not a great game but Hydrophobia had really impressive looking water and impressive water physics. Kinda felt that's where all the budget went and putting a decent game into that framework was almost secondary.
