A NEW KIND OF NARRATIVE & NOIRE GAME
You are a taxi driver. Paris is your city and you know every corner of it.
Your shift starts when the night is dark and ends when the city wakes up. You work hard to pay back your car, your taxi license, and your bills.
At night, passengers hop in your taxi. Sometimes you talk to them, sometimes they talk to you. You are not only a driver; for some people you are a priest, a confident, a friend. You like this routine.
Everything changes when the police reveals that the recent murders shattering your city are connected. As their investigation is stalling, they ask everyone to keep their eyes peeled.
You want to do more. Because the victims were all clients of your taxi company. Because you are the last person to see the most recent victim alive...
You begin to investigate with your only advantage: on your backseat, people talk, open up, share secrets. So listen to your passengers, collect clues, and stop the killer.
Screenies:
This was announced last night at the PC Gaming Show to a rather positive reaction. Personally I think it looks quite, quite excellent. Game of the Conference even. GoTG.
(Disclaimer: I sort of, may have, am still working on this. Last night was very exciting.)

Immediately made me think of
Neo Cab, have you seen that? They seem very similar, but Neo Cab has a cyberpunk aesthetic.
I'm very interested in Sable from Raw Fury that was also at the show, aesthetically it looks wonderful (and exploration games like that are my jam).

Looks gooseberry fool, the writing is worse than a 3-year-olds story...

Neo Cab is #uberpunk to our #ubernoir. It's a real Antz vs Bug's Life coincidence that two narrative cab games came along at exactly the same time. Still, they're different enough thankfully and are based around completely different topics.
I'm biased but I really dislike Neo Cab's art style.

Ha, that's fine! We didn't show much gameplay or any of the narrative hooks in the trailer, and Neo Cab did so there's deffo more to get stuck into with that.

So
this is why you were so keen to stress how different noir and cyberpunk are.

Every post I make is a puzzle waiting to be unlocked, a slipping, sliding rubix cube of hidden meaning and connotations.
I actually hadn't made that connection at all. Explains a lot though.

If this just turns out to be a framework for lesbian love letters I'll be furious.

We got featured in RockPaperShotgun's 'Games you might have missed' feature (about 6.20 in). I didn't know we were telling people about the cat, but apparently we are!
We have a cat.

I've just found about this game, it looks cool, nice vibe and Paris makes a welcome change of setting for the thriller genre - and Tafdolphin has worked on it! Back when I had an Amiga I used to play so many different games and many had little surprises so I would like to go back to that by playing different smaller games so maybe a Nintendo Switch will help me with that.

Watching Waypoint's PAX East panel just now and Rob Zacny is currently talking very highly about this.
