can't believe how much more there is to do after you finish the game

Yeah, that is a rubbish bit but, as Rubix said, very short and seems like a one off.

I've just made my way through Nevermore (dat staircase!) and am psyching myself up to face Shadar again.

Feels like there's not much more left to go but these games always hit me with a curve-ball so I'm hoping there's a bit more to it, curious to see what all the post game stuff is too!

:slol:

Anyway 70hrs in yet and I am now ranked in the top 10% of people on Raptr on this game

13 Trophies to go but the last 3 will be a pain in the ass so not sure if I will go for it or not.

Takes a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery long time to level a Familier to full potential, I am only just on the verge of doing it myself.

Did you manage to catch a Toko Rubix? I've read there's only around a 1 or 2% chance of catching one. It's max level is only 5 but going to level 2 takes around 13,000 EXP with each subsequent level taking exponentially more. Then you need to consider that to see and get the most out of both of it's 3rd forms you'd need to catch 2 and level their 1st and 2nd forms to max too.

Since I'm enjoying the game so much I don't really mind but I can't see me ever getting the Platinum here, I simply don't have the time available to invest in stuff like catching all familiars.

The familiars trophy would be easier if you caught 2nd or 3rd forms of the ones that you never intend to use in battle purely to complete the collection but I prefer to raise them from scratch which is very time consuming. I try to always have 1 low level familiar in each characters party alongside their main familiars so something is always levelling up.

It's the random nature of the capture mechanic that makes it harder to catch the familiars IMO. If you didn't have to rely on some arbitrary percentage chance of the monster being impressed I don't think there'd be such a problem. Like when that scientist geezer wants you to catch specific creatures for him. It could take anything from a few minutes or in my case several hours to catch the necessary familiars.

But hey, good luck to anybody with the time and patience to give it a go!

I've been playing just over 40 hours and I have tamed 84 species, all comes down to luck. I'm trying to catch a Lotus Bubbud for Derwin, I've killed 30 of the buggers but no joy.

They've totally missed a trick by not being able to trade familiars online.

Is there any way to check how many of the hidden chests on the world map you have opened?

EDIT: Never mind I figured it out.

I figured that out last night :fp: I had 99 of them and needed one more and thought "what does seek fortune do" :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp: :fp:

Still dont have these trophies that I want to get
- 2,000 glims
- 1,000 battles (any way of knowing how many battles you have already done?)
- collecting all of the merit awards (Need 1 more)
- champion of the Solosseum Series (just S class to do)
- fortune of half a million Guilders (need 50,000 more)
- Guardian of the Worlds is such a banana split :(

some of the others I can't be bothered 250 different Familiers would take an age. I have 100 now

I got all the hidden chests with a lot of help from seek fortune. I've fought my thousandth battle but I don't think there is a way to see how many you've fought, same for the Glims. It'll take an age to amass half a million Guilders unless there's somewhere with monsters that drop crazy amounts.

EDIT: Also all chests, caves, forest glades etc are marked on the region maps in the Wizards Companion if you look closely.

I finished this last night  this is one of the games of the generation for me easily. This and Dark Souls are the two best games I've played this gen.

Anyway I've been doing a lot of the post game stuff and was sailing through the new bounty hunts but I've just hit a brick wall.
Zodiarchangel
what a banana split, as if his original form wasn't bad enough. I can get him down to about a quarter of his HP left then it goes pear shaped when he starts respawning his minions. My guys are all Lv. 84 so I reckon if I grind up to Lv. 99 or whatever is highest I should be in with a shout.

EDIT: As much as I've loving this game I've finally found something I really dislike, the tedium of item gathering to make the high end gear in the cauldron. I need 5 Scrolls of Truth to make a War God's Axe to finish an errand trouble is the enemies that you can steal them from are so frigging rare it's unreal and then even when I do successfully steal from them I tend to get the wrong item (usually some guff I don't want). I've been searching Tombstone Trail for Gold Honky Tonkers for the past 3 hours with only 3 Scrolls of Truth to show for it, Surely there's no need for item crafting to be this tedious.

I've done everything now all hunts, all tasks and challenges, extra bosses and the tournament

the guardian of the world was hard but do it because you get a little extra story and unlock something cool (if a little late)

I was level 85 when I finished. The axe task was my worst and I played for 77hrs

only missed two achievements and that's the familer collecting and create items

What exactly does the all familiars trophy entail? Does it include gold variants? Does it include both 3rd forms of a familiar and if so how do you get 2 Sapdragons or Mandragorers?

EDIT: In other familiar related news... Toko get :D
