They still need to save the Wii U, now that Mario Kart has failed to do so(!)

Wonder if they'll announce a release date for China?

I hope you know I'm being sarcastic. :slol:

Really all I'm hoping is for some AAA titles from Nintendo like brand new 3D Mario game, Metroid (ha!) and Zelda. Even some more of those HD remasters of Mario64/Galaxy 1/2 or Metroid Prime trilogy.

Bet we'll see Mario Party U in some form. With online please.

Hell, I'll take GC titles being on VC. Hoping MGS: Twin Snakes will be one of them so I can have the entire saga digitally!

The only event at E3 I even care about anymore.

Well, that is unless Sony actually have something from Japanese devs to show off.

I'm just hoping for another Reggie classic moment.

My body is ready, as they say.

I can see a new Metroid and Zelda being the big 'uns. Maybe an Animal Crossing U too.

Very much doubt we'll see F-Zero, Starfox or a new 3D Mario.

Yeah I can.see that happening as well. We know Zelda will be there but I've got a good feeling about Metroid in some shape or form. Maybe a Star Fox game made by a third party Dev as well, but I doubt we'll see F-Zero.

I'm hoping they show off some new I.p's and franchises though. I always thought Nintendo's take on an FPS would be interesting to see.

I have a strong feeling we'll be seeing a Pilotwings game.

First sad news of the show

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata won't attend E3 2014 due to health-related reasons, the company has announced.

On medical advice, Iwata is not currently conducting trips overseas and will instead remain in Japan for the duration of the show, Nintendo confirmed to Polygon.

Like last year, Nintendo will again broadcast a pre-recorded presentation rather than hold a live event - meaning Iwata's presence is not necessarily required - but it is still the first show he has missed in several years.

Nintendo did not elaborate on Iwata's condition further, but offered the following statement:

"He's been instructed by his physician not to travel overseas in the immediate future, and so he will not be making the trip to Los Angeles.

"It is business as usual for Mr. Iwata, and he continues his normal duties as president of Nintendo Co., Ltd. while he remains in Japan. As always, he will be actively involved in all of Nintendo's activities at the show."

I have a job interview when this is on. Will you be updating the OP with a link to view it after it's been broadcast?
