Each to their own: I thought the Switch had one of the finest first years in gaming and a slow second one, and I think people are forget to think how slow most consoles are to start. Also your favourite Wii U games are mostly on the Switch now. :P

If anyone is after a big RPG for the summer, there are a few nice discounts in the summer sale.

Persona Q2 is down to £22.49
Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology has dropped to £17.49

Miitopia is great fun! I love how you can use Miis from your friends list as your in-game pals... I had a few GRcadians accompany me as I played :-) .

imbusydoctorwho wrote:...Very tempted to pick up Captain Toad as well, even though I've got it on Switch and Wii U, as I played the demo and it feels a much better for the 3DS.

Kinda my thinking as well, ibdw! The game is excellent no matter what system you play it on, but - despite the graphical downgrade - to me it feels even better on the dual/touch screen 3DS version.

I'm getting captain toad, yokai watch and federation force for £15 thanks to Argos over the next few days.

Those are some great prices.

Anyone know of a place to get majoras mask on 3ds for a reasonable price? I've never played it, and links awakening has me in the Zelda mood, but it's £40 still :dread:

Picked up Picross 3D Round 2 the other day. Damn that’s a good game.

GF did indeed pick up federation force so I'll be giving that a go tonight. Glad to see it has a single player run through in case the servers are totally deserted.

It was never really a bad game just had super sour response from metroid fans so I'm curious seeing how it holds up in its own right.

Managed to score this one about a year ago for a fiver, new. Haven't played it yet, but I have played the original.

Seriously need to get another copy of Picross DS. I lent it to someone and never got it back :x

Was looking at 3DS console prices this morning. The New 3DS XL is expensive. I would love one, because my old white XL has seen better days (and it's not the most ergonomic of handhelds). Hopefully the model will come down in price.

I think the 3ds XL has been discontinued hasn't it? But i guess second hand prices are still likely to fall.

Yeah, the only consoles in the 3DS range still offered by Nintendo are the 2DS models.

Just read on Nintendo Life about the big drop in 3DS family console sales - and games - during 2019 and it's probably not a surprise; it's been tricky to locate the consoles and very few new games were released.

3DS is dead... but long live the 3DS! It's a terrific system with plenty of good games. For me, the "New Nintendo 3DS" models were the greatest, followed by the original 3DS models ("Cosmo Black" ). I never got on with the XL models but I know that some other folk preferred them.

Sorry, I meant the 2ds XL, that last revision they brought out. I'm dim!

Yeah I decided to picked up Captain Toad for 3DS yesterday, so that makes a full house as I've got all versions.

Been going through Devilish Brain Training and I've been really enjoying it.

You should give Metroid Prime Federation Force a got as it's a pretty decent title that would've got less hate if Samus Return released before it.

I enjoyed what I played of it last night. It's really polished as you would expect from a Nintendo game and the graphics are really impressive, at times it's like playing a Wii U game.

So far the hate seems unjustified, it's just a silly multiplayer dungeon crawler in the metroid universe and the chibi style is done really well, the animation is great.

I hope it's not too late to collect my copy of captain toad, the reservation says by 5.30 yesterday but I never got the confirmation email saying it's ready.

Thanks chaps, ordered Captain Toad, Federation Force and Yo Kai Watch. Wasn’t that interested in Yo Kai, but for £2.50 hardly a great outlay. Tried to get Yo Kai 2 as well, but they’d sold out of both versions.

I love Federation Force. Never really got the chance to play it in Multiplayer. If anyone ever wants a game give me a shout!

Sounds like you guys got some really good deals on those games. I would have liked to have gotten a couple at those prices, particularly Toad!
