Why do you enjoy posting articles that aggravate "left-behind" system users, Nick? What specifically do you think is "good" about the article posted from some humdrum generic domain like geek.com? From the first paragraph, and I'll annotate why this is a bait article to help you out:
It dropped the dumb 3D gimmick* but kept the upgraded processor. It had a sturdy clamshell body* and from a certain angle even looked like a premium mobile phone*. And of course it could leverage the massive library of great 3DS (and DS) games. I wanted to love it.*
But I couldn’t because in 2017 I was already fully onboard with the Nintendo Switch*
*The 3D effect of the 3DS is its namesake and was undoubtedly an innovative, flagship feature of the console and it was leveraged in pretty much all the games for the system, sometimes in surprising ways. This is an opinion, not a fact.
*There was nothing wrong with the precious consoles in terms of durability
*Obvious gizmo/iPhone/Samsung Galaxy whore. What's the point in this comparison? There isn't one. It's setting up the previous iterations, and the current iteration, as "almost desirable". The author obviously doesn't really like the product at all.
* I.e. the previous sentences are empty and meaningless drivel
* ... OK? So the author came in to the console some
5 years after it launched and is complaining that he instead wants to focus on his new, technically superior console?
The entire article is about one person's sunk cost fallacy / buyer's remorse. It's not a good article, it's a strawberry floating terrible piece of journalism.
Given that, please stop posting shitty articles in this "Nintendo 3DS survivors/fan topic" that have nothing to do with the strengths, merits or enjoyment of the console and more about pissing off other users.
Post them in the Switch topic instead, so that switch users can rejoice they will get new games because the 3DS is dead or whatever.
tl;dr stop being a giant penis.
