kaz, you're up for a starring role in Fisher's next picture story! Check out the previous posts about how to share your Mii details!

Thanks Fisher and Jawa.

Will try an do this today. Is it easy to get the QR code off a New 3DSXL? I don't want to have to unscrew the case to get to the SD card as its already looking a bit past its prime. I also have no way of connecting the system direct to a PC (work block USB ports).

Usually you'd have to save the QR code to your 3DS's SD card and then put the card into a PC. But... IIRC I didn't remove the SD card; I "screenshotted" the QR code on my 3DS and then uploaded the shot to an internet image site via the web browser. I kinda forgot how I did that and will check it out. In the meantime... you could take a photo of the QR code using your phone - I think Hypes did that.

My 3DS is packed away in storage at the moment. How do you get your Mii off the Switch?

Thanks Jawa. I'm never sure if a screenshot of a QR code is something that works.

I had a look on my Switch but I don't think there is a way to get a QR code for your Mii as there is on the 3DS. Alas, Christopher, you may not be able to star in the show until you can get your hands on your 3DS!

Hacked my 2DS for the inevitable day Nintendo turn everything off, add this to the Super Card Two that's in it and it's a kick butt little thing. Leaving my New 3DS as is though , don't want to mess with that.

I hadn't realised that Disgaea was on the DS, Fisher - I will go take a look!

I like your preparedness, kerr. It's annoying that - as far as I know - you can't have your Nintendo account on more than one DS (or 3DS) as I'd then download my games to another console as a backup. Buying (Nintendo) digital games is handy but also so frustrating!

I've had my new 3ds hacked for years now. If you don't pirate games and play them online then you won't get in any trouble.

I suppose you can hack it once the service is shut off.

Speaking of backups one of the best things about having a custom firmware 3ds is the ability to back up and restore save games. I wanted to play OOT 3DS master quest and being to download a save with it already unlocked was brilliant.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I think the main reason I never hacked the 3DS/2DS is that I like collecting the games, I did use a R4 style Super Card Two in my 2DS for years but now with the service being switched off and it getting harder to get stuff and the idea that access to stuff etc could be lost I thought why not..

I need to thank you Winckle as you posted about it just before me having 2 days off and it inspired me to sit down and sort this out now and thank you for a bit of tech support as well :)

Fisher, absolutely! Soul Bubbles is a great game with lovely graphics and sound, plus it works so well with the touch screen and stylus.

I've always meant to go back and play Trauma Center again. It was a great game but I never managed to get past the operation with the multiplying, parasitic worms. It was really difficult!

I've only played a couple of those, Fisher - Chrono Trigger and M&M Clash of Heroes. Clash of Heroes seemed to be good but unfortunately the colouring made the game unplayable with my colour blindness and I traded the game in.
