I had 900yen left over from my 9000 card I added to buy the stuff I mentioned yesterday. I used it to get Attack of the Friday Monsters. I'm a big fan of the Boku no Natsuyasumi games due to how chill they are and this was made by the same creator. Can't wait to give it a play.

I was always curious about that one

A couple of deals have come up for the 3DS that are worth knowing:

Kid Tripp is currently free - tricky pixel platforming, a bit like Mario run in that you are forced to move right all the time.
Digger Dan DX is currently free - it's a Boulderdash game, seems pretty fun so far.

Also, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove is at the crazy bargain price of £4.04. I have it on Wii U so not sure if it's worth double dipping, but I hope it helps someone out.

Boulder Dash? Cool! Ta for the heads up, Lime - I'll check that out tomorrow!

Treasure Trove for £4.04 is a cracking deal, too.

Thanks, picked up the free ones!

I want to buy majoras mask 3d (I've never played it) but it's £40 :dread: I suppose the chances of a last minute sale before the shop closes are less than zero.

To be honest once they shut the shop id hack it, its not like they've not had chances to get your money.

Thanks for the heads-up, Fisher, as I'd not see part 1 of your Robot Debate story. I've just read it and posted a reply!

Oh well services being shut down is to be expected, plus I think with hacking and homebrew stuff the 3ds still has bags of stuff to offer

Ugh. Knew it was coming after the eShop closing, but this will be the end of transferring Pokemon from any era prior to the Switch.

Bank isn't shutting down still. It's in the link that it isn't.

It does seem like they are urging people to transfer though

I can't believe they'll turn it off any time soon, it essentially locks people out from getting a lot of Pokemon over to their copies of Home from pretty much all the games past gen 3. It would suck majorly if they kill bank, especially given they refuse to allow you to backup your damn saves. It also completely locks you out of the currently still possible to get event pokemon from Gen 4 and 5.

Either way it looks like im going to have to play through Crystal, White 2, Moon and Ultra Sun faster than maybe I was expecting or I might get locked out of sending those pokemon up.

I’ve finally managed to dig out my old 3DS XL from the back of a cupboard, along with A Link Between Worlds sitting in the back of it. :toot:

A year too late to do a sweep of the eShop store before it closed last March but it’s nice to have it available again. I never really had an extensive collection of 3DS games (Super Mario 3D Land, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars, Fire Emblem: Awakening, ALBW, and Crimson Shroud from the eShop) but I might start checking for anything half decent floating about in my local CEX.

You might not have had loads but you certainly have some top quality titles. Some 3DS stuff costs a lot but there's plenty of good sub £10 bits you can get from CEX and such as well

Yeah, looking at various 'best of' lists it doesn’t look like there are a heap of 3DS games that I would really be on the lookout for considering what I already have. Maybe just Bravely Default and Metroid: Samus Returns really. Pokemon fans were very well catered for during the lifespan of the console but that’s just not something I’m interested in.

Having not used it for the best part of a decade it’s very easy to forget how good a piece of hardware it is. Just the right size for throwing into a pocket for a short commute compared to basically every handheld that’s come out since. It’s a massive shame how Nintendo has treated its legacy really.
