I usually forget I even have a 3DS, but when I do go back in always surprised at just how good it is.

I just fired up Ocarina of Time 3D on my New 2DS XL and you are right, it doesn't actually look that bad at all.

Looking at a few 3DS games I missed

Ever Oasis
Mario & Luigi Bowsers Inside Story remake
Monster Hunter Stories
Metroid: Samus Return
Hey Pikmin

Any of them worth grabbing? if so, anyone know when i can get them cheap?

Not on that list, but if you don't have it I can't reccomend Ghost Recon Shadow Wars enough. My favourite 3ds game.

I actually had Shadow Wars at launch, it was great but I traded that in years ago

Ever Oasis does look good and it doesn’t seem like it will be coming to Switch in any form so that’s in the radar (Argos have it for £18.99)

Annoyingly Argos have Bowsers inside story for £11.99 but it doesn’t have home delivery nor is it in stock in my area

I was not a MonHun fan and found Stories bang-average. Ever Oasis is a belter, and Samus Returns was damn good. Never played BIS but the remake of Superstar Saga warmed my heart.

Yeah I really liked Superstar Saga, I ordered Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam as it was under £8

Ever Oasis seems to be £23 from Argos including delivery so I might grab that on payday.

Grabbed it on Amazon for £7.72

So far I’ve picked up

Mario & Luigi Paper Jam
Hey Pikmin
Ever Oasis

Looking at Metroid Prime FF (as it’s cheap) Bowsers Inside Story and Monster Hunter Stories.

I was thinking of grabbing Detective Pikachu but that got confirmed as coming to Switch didn’t it?

It's a sequel coming to Switch, not the original

I liked it. It's very easy, and you'll probably near enough solve most cases (and the overall mystery) much quicker than they are solved in the pace of the actual gameplay - but then if you've seen the film, the overall story is mostly spoiled anyway (although there are differences). Just observing and playing in a world full of pokemon living alongside people in more "every day life" scenarios as opposed to the main games is really neat though, that was the main appeal for me! Especially as you see things from both human and pokemon perspectives.

I like Ryan Reynolds as pikachu in the film, but he absolutely makes the role his own. Game detective pikachu is very different

I thought the demo for Hey Pikachu was great, I spent quite a long time just wandering around poking stuff.

Shadow Wars was decent, I sold it with my 3DS XL to fund the New 3DS XL I found mispriced as a standard XL for £75 in cash converters, the case is strawberry floated but it's otherwise fine. I need to reshell it.

I'd say Fantasy Life is probably worth getting into, I still want that.

The 3DS's graphics are perfectly fine, actually very good compared to a GC because of the shaders etc. If you can get over the pixel counting it's perfectly fine handheld system that's honestly much more interesting than a Switch.

That seems hard to find for a decent price at the moment :?

I need to give Fantasy life a go as well at some point, on the backlog that I will get round to playing.

It's really decent, my main struggle with it is the convoluted way to access you dungeons etc doing all the timeline things so I've found it a bit hard to drill through. That said, I only completed ocarina of time on GameCube for the first time about two months ago

I see what you mean, cheapest seems to be around £35 second hand. I’m guessing most of these 3DS games are out of print now as they seem to be quite expense some of them (Well, I guess Nintendo games hold value anyway)

I grabbed Metroid Samus Returns for £38,85 new so that will do, looking forward to playing it.

Did they ever release GBA games on New 3DS eshop? Other than the ambassador games, I wondered if I can get Metroid Zero Mission on the store.

I liked it, one boss really annoyed me (they changed the boss battles).
